Set my vive up in the garden at weekend in evening for the first time ever just to play this with new laptop strapped to my back, using a 12v power bank to power the headset. Walking around with no worry of cables or banging in to things. Neighbours probably wondered what I what doing. I put the lighthouses as far apart as possible using cable. It's amazing, it's like discovering KY for the first time. It's how VR should be played, not in some cramped living room trying to avoid the dog.

Worst bit was the one and a bit hour laptop battery life and subsequent hours spent out of the matrix waiting for it to charge. If GTA 6 is released next decade with VR support, I might as well hand my notice in and sign divorce papers now

I can imagine a game like Bioshock would be good in VR. Good voice acting.

We need a VR shopping experience when shopping online with Tesco so that we can walk down shopping isles, grap food from shelves and put it in the trolley. Probably soon.
It's prices like this that makes me laugh at people spending £30+ on the switch version. Keep justifying to yourselves how nintendo can reasonably charge that much!

I didn't realise VFR was on Switch?...

Anyway, heat added! Great game!
Is the VR version seated with head moving or do you have to stand and move around like some person who doesn't hate exercise?

Ah yes. Except, it's not Nintendo that sets the price for 3rd party games...

If you've got the cash, This seems to cover all the bases and the next logical step. perfect for those who really want your kind of settup (at a price)
I like the fact that it docks and is still a capable desktop, but on your back it has 3 hot swapable batteries that are running both PC and headset.
Have they added normal movement like in skyrim or is it teleporting only? I love natutal locomotion. How does it work on oculus / does it support touch controllers. Thank you.

Yeah its far more elegant than mine, and more powerful, but its costs 4x the amount of mine. I found them when I was looking at a way of strapping the laptop to my back (I can see it taking off in America with their huge houses, in my 4 bed there just isn't room), then I found an old laptop bag in cupboard which has a net, so I leave the bag open, add the power bank to the outside compartment, slot the laptop in the net with the vents on the base facing outwards, and although it gets pretty hot and noisy, the airflow is actually better than when its sat on my desk.

Will this work on oculus rift?

Hi despite Steam store and game physical box stating Vive headset as per "Notice: Requires one of the following virtual reality headsets: HTC Vive or Windows Mixed Reality. See the VR Support section for more info." Steam released an update with a workaround meaning game does work for Rift users. Thanks OP as my Rift arrived yesterday and I will pick this up and get 2% cashback at topcashback.co.uk or 3% for new members. See here for Valve update info.

Game on back order now...although can still place a back order it just appears on "pre order" part of site.

Don't worry, they didn't put DVD discs inside the boxes either the physical box is just a DVD box with a card with a Steam code.
