DORCO PACE 6 Plus blades x 4 plus a handle for £1 (free delivery w/ sub)

This requires you to set up a subscription but that can be cancelled if you want (might be worth waiting until you've received them as the first order is part of the subscription. Mine only took 2 days to arrive). However, these blades are great - just as good as the Gillette proglides but a lot cheaper. So you may just want to subscribe. You can change the delivery frequency up to four months. Even the £5.95 every 4 months is a great deal for decent razor blades in itself.

Probably have to contact them by email. Worth checking what the razors are like first as the subs offer looks excellent anyway. Reviews on Amazon look promising.

How do you cancel the subscription

Not as straight forward as some of the other razor subscription services. There's a "contact us" link in the FAQs. Probably an online form or an email.

Did you read different reviews to me?

Amazon reviews suggest they're nothing special.
Ordered thanks.

Had these before not quite as good as the very best but great value especially at this price.

Anything like this I order by paypal so you can cancel the subscription with paypal as well as letting the retailer know. Then there is no chance of you being charged.

Shaving is very much a YMMV thing. Different skin types, hair types, blade types, prep products, etc. You can only suck it and see. Obviously, some products (we know who they are!) are excellent all rounders, no argument. But for many shavers, Dorco blades are essentially good enough to be indistinguishable from those other blades and cost HALF as much.

I didn't get on with them - a bit rough and didn't last long as leading brands. Also, I do like the extra blade on the reverse of Gillette blades. Good value though, even if you pay full whack for a month or two.
blades are amazing. even my mrs has a subscription.
Thanks have ordered

Yep, they don't work for everyone. Worth mentioning though - these blades DO have the extra single blade on the reverse. In fact, for me, although the main blades are no better than Gillette (but still half the price), the single blade is definite more effective than Gillette's as it seems to be more exposed.

736 reviews averaging at 4.5 stars out of 5. As others have said, worth giving a try.
Might be of interest to some (hopefully not already mentioned) but my Dorco Pace 6 Plus + 1 blade from the Amazon deal (£00.99p) arrived this morning.

The Razor and Blade are exactly the same as what I have been using from Aldi for the past 18 months, the 6 blade system. The cost of a 3 cartridges at Aldi is £2.99, I have just taken out the cartridge from my Aldi Razor and it fits the Dorco handle perfectly. The Aldi 6 blade system I must say is amazing, blades last ages and believe me I shave everyday because of my job and I hate it after 41 years of shaving but the Aldi Razor is brilliant.

That's interesting. If the Aldi ones are manufactured to the same standard as the Dorco ones, with the same blades, then that's slightly cheaper than this subscription. I'll have to give them a try.
Ergates, I would say they are made by the same manufacturer as in the Aldi and Dorco handles as they are exactly the same apart from the Dorco has more metal and the Aldi more rubber, however the weight appears to be the same so I suppose the Aldi handle is metal coated in rubber for a better feel in the hand.

Yes, I imagine they would be from the same manufacturer but I wondered if there may be a difference in the spec of the actual blades re. coating, sharpness, etc. You're probably right though, they could well be identical. Anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at them.

I've just been looking on the Dorco website and found that they also do a 7-blade cartridge (Dorco Classic)! If the number of blades in a razor is the measure of greatness then Dorco really takes the prize (or biscuit!). I won't be able to stop myself from trying it. It comes with a handle that looks much nicer than all these fancy handles that seem to get increasingly intricate with each new "inovation". I think I'll order the handle and one blade. I can give the 7-blade head a try and I can still use the nice handle with my PACE 6 Plus blades if I stick with them. Or even with my Aldi blades if I get some of those. You never know, maybe 7 blades ARE better than 6! *looks sceptical*
Got these last time it was on, they're still in the cupboard since I grew a beard for winter lol...
Took a couple of direct emails to cancel the subscription, and still trying to cancel the damn junk email after 5 goes!

I'll review them in spring when I come out of hibernation... 🐻
I got a PACE4 Twelve month pack last December for £12.48 as part of Christmas discount code they were offering.Still got loads of the blades left and I find them very good.
That deal was posted on HDUK so hopefully they might do it again this year.

Bought my Pace 6 deal while on a BOGOF last January so have enough blades to last at least another 12 months. Having been fleeced by Gillette for so long, it’s nice to have a product that works just as well imo without subsidising Gillette’s advertising budget.:{
Hot
Worth a go for a quid, thanks

Yes I've come to the conclusion that, although these are much cheaper, they don't last as long as the competition. Still works out out a lot cheaper though. BTW I have recently tried the Dorco Classic blades and they are a revaluation! Better, I would say, than the competition. Much better than the Pace 6 Plus blades and better even than you-know-who. Not the same saving but still a saving. Just need to keep a Pace 6 on the side for its excellent edging blade as the Classic doesn't have one.
