Got an email. It's also on the website...just click Go To Deal and it takes you to the page!

still showing 2.50 for 60 airmiles

It's only valid if you haven't exchanged Clubcard vouchers before so I guess they will manually add the Airmiles to your account.

I've been saving my points for a good offer and this is a great deal! I was hoping for something on BA Miles as I already have a few of those.

Probably by taking advantage of bonus points eg. get 500 points when you buy a certain product

Nice!

that depends, you can fly from around £100 return. Check different dates. Also check airmiles availability, it's not the same as BA availability.

New customers only!

Thanks alot!!!

shame this is only for new customers

brilliant, thanks OP

:-D

Thanks Anita! I'm fine thanks.....how are you?

I too have a collection of Tesco vouchers waiting to be used and haven't used Airmiles before. I will wait until Feb too to decide whether to take up this offer! Hopefully if will still be available until then! Terms certainly say it will be.

hot hot hot

I dont do clubcards, how much much do you need to spend to be looking at a free return flight?

Does sound quite good.

Can I ask a silly question - I'm going to anyway. Are the prices quote for a single or return ticket?

I have over £300 worth and was going to convert for a Siblu holiday in France next year for about £900 (at 4x value) and tried to look at airmiles last week (before I saw this offer) but still not sure if I would be better off? Any advice?

Just a note here..... if you are going for 2 week or less and Virgin Holidays fly there, double check it for value.
Some holidays will work out better value with Virgin as they include transfers and accommodation. (you do have to pay taxes and surcharges in cash though)

Virgin holidays is classed as a deal so 4 x value

Can airmiles be used with any airline? I'm looking at booking flights with Emirates, any info greatly appreciated

£15.63 is from £781.50 spend if you take into account double points altough Tesco do a lot of bonus points offers eg. buy a product and get 50 points. Get 3 of these and you're there!! (assuming it comes off!)

Not sure. You would have to do the sums. Bare in mind that peak time availability for Airmiles is very poor.

Never used Airmiles before myself but I think you can use any airline

Also I suggest opening a Tesco savings account to take advantage of their bonus Clubcard points offer when you have a certain amount of money in the account on 31st December. You don't have to keep the money in there, just need it to be cleared on 31st December.

£1,000 balance gives 500 points
£3,000 balance gives 1,000 points
£10,000 balance gives 1,500 points

Only works if you really planned ahead:
Offer not available on Internet Saver or to customers who have opened a Tesco Savings account in the last 12 months.

I wish I had never exchanged for airmiles before! Could have taken the family to New York on this... gutted. Hot for those that can take advantage.

Great deal, have exchanged £150 in vouchers worth, so will make a decision once they're credited to my account. Thanks!

How do you know if theyve been doubled? once there in your account or checkout?

Excellent!!
Just changed back £1200 of Cosmos vouchers because the prices were a complete rip off compared to online deals. Will now be able to get a couple of return flights to Chicago. Woo Hoo.
H&R added. Thanks

How long does it usually take for airmiles to appear in your account?

How long does it usually take for airmiles to appear in your account?

it takes 2-3 working days

Could someone explain in simple terms how the whole process works for an airmiles newbie ?

A) Have Tesco vouchers
...
Z) Have tickets

How long are these valid for, how to book flights using airmiles, possible to change back to tesco vouchers, etc .. ?

cheers !

Thanks

Has anyone actually done this yet and got the doubled rate.

waldek;6808918

it takes 2-3 working days

so does anyone know if these airmiles can be used for the "Activities" if so I've worked out the 1 year Merlin pass will cost £32.50 in vouchers instead of the £37.50..............

Also can anyone tell me how the BA miles works??? is it worth it? as can't get any flights I want on Raremiles - sorry Airmiles:-D

Happy days....when i get my next batch from this month I will have £278 worth of tescos vouchers...13,320 Airmiles!! Now the question is, should I wait until my Febuary points show (£50 worth, thanks to the 10 x 500 point DVD bonus points I will have collected!) or might Tesco pull this offer if it proves too popular??!!

Oh, plus the 2500 points I got from my Lloyds Amex offer...I feel some travelling coming up in 2010!

Original Poster

I'm thinking that they might pull the offer early but I'm holding out until Feb
