If it was EE instead of 3 I'd go for this since the Post Office have already messed around with their allowances in their bundles.
Three are generally very good, even their 3G speeds compare favorably to the 4G speeds I get on giffgaff,so their 4G in areas where it exists should be even better.
I've just tried to switch my existing id mobile 30 day contract to one of the ones above only to be told I need to disconnect my number and start a new contract, even the woman I was talking to thought it was a stupid way of doing it.
is the double data for 12 month only what happens after that?
Typical-ordered yesterday with standard allowance

I believe is just for the twelve months, but who knows what deals they'll have next Black Friday and it is a one month contract after all so you can easily change if you wish.
has anyone tried tethering with these guys? says not allowed but always interested!
thanks for positing!

that's standard practice with every mobile network I'm afraid.... need to port the number to another network and then port it back. Daft I know. .
Anyone know if this sim would work in my Iphone 4s that's locked to the 3 network?
Thanks just ordered one and informed tesco mobile that i was leaving they couldn't offer me anything near this to keep me so have some heat
Good deal, i'm on a rolling 30 day contract with 3 for unlimited calls/txt and 4GB 4G data for £13 as looking to upgrade my phone if a decent contract appears, so I'm tempted by the 6GB Data at £12.50 on a 1 month contract, if this is three would I need a PAC code to switch and retain number?

you're very welcome, thanks for the appreciation.
I'm an iD user - good points: very fast speeds, exactly the same as Three's own service. Bad points: their systems leave something to be desired - I've changed plan, so they charged me the old price plus the new price, gave me the old allowances, and are having trouble fixing it.
Brings the price down a bit from what I'm paying with 3 but you lose the 'Feel At Home' free roaming for free unless bumping the price up considerably with iD so no good for me
Good deal!!

I just ported to them Friday, will message CS but doubt they'll do anything.

I believe the network operates off the 3 network, so you still get same perk as 3 customers of free roaming.
I received my SIM quickly but with standard allowance, not the double data. Called customer services who claim I'm the first person he's spoken to with that issue and can't fix it. I've been promised a call back within 24-48 hours which I am not confident they will given other complaints. Also posted it on their FB page and other than the usual "Please PM us with details" which I have done, again nothing.

Also, I had a complete stranger who was pi**ed off enough with ID mobile to send me a message warning me and recommending I cancel!

How much must you annoy customers to the point they start doing that!?!?!

I'll give them til next week and if they can't fix it, I'll cancel.
I also did not get the double data.
They said will sort it in 3-5 days.
If not will also cancel

I just wish I could get a 3, or EE or O2 signal in my house... Vodafone is (and some would say somewhat bizarrely) the only signal I can get reliably indoors. In Greater London!!!
By warned they are a nightmare to deal with, still got incorrect billing 3 months on, owed over £100, despite hours on the phone. Read reviews of this lot before you sign up, wish I had :(.
has anyone received the double data yet? is this even worth trying?

That's a bit of an assumption. They might use the network infrastructure but they have their own pricing and billing so the perks are likely to differ. A quick look at the international calls section of the ID website does not mention any "free" (inclusive, rather than free) roaming.

The iD network does indeed include inclusive roaming in many countries - more so than Three actually. But you have to be on one of their TakeAway plans, not GoTo or ShockProof.

Great timing, some cracking deals there im with o2-carphone warehouse and the cheapest they were offering was £12 500mb data and 500 mins unlimited texts...total joke since they are sister company of this...i dont use anywhere near those minutes or texts the most important for me is data and 500mb is pitiful! will be going with these guys

thanks op

EDIT: they dont do tethering which is a bit of a downer and have pretty poor 4g coverage it is said

It's worth trying. I can't see how they can dispute it. It's clear as day all over their website for all to see. In fairness i've had no issues so far with the speeds but haven't used it loads.

But it is worrying how both their customer services helpline and their FB team cannot sort a seemingly easy issue out. How hard can it be to go and upgrade my data???
hey guys, if you live any where new chelmsford dont get ID, you barely get a 4g signal and most of the time is 3g even that is very slow. In london seems to work great though
They would not allow me to change to this plan, but sent me instructions for porting my number out to another network and back in if I wanted to cancel my current plan and re-sign up to this one... I guess they assume no-one will bother as its such a hassle!
Good deal but they should be called "No IDea Mobile". Stay away. Absolutely F'ing useless customer service. It is a condition of the interview for employment that you no nothing about mobile telecommunications. Aaaaargh!
The tariff descriptions state double data already included. I read that as 2gb for 7.50 not 4gb - 2gb is the double data Shirley?

The double data is Shirley already included. The £7.50 plan for example only had 1GB of data before the offer.

Hi Polly ☺
Wanna cracker?
Well surprise surprise, 48 hours later and no-one has called me back. Such a simple issue that seems to be impossible to fix.

Their FB page team have responded telling me they've found a data issue then 24 hours later in a follow up message it's clear they're trying to fix a problem I don't actually have.

Seriously how hard can it be. I signed up for 1GB data....i have 500MB. Just click the right tariff. I can't think it's any harder than that!

Yep, you're right. My bad. They have a 'TakeAway' product which includes roaming in several countries.
I switched to iD last week and have had problem after problem, their customer service is terrible with call centres based abroad and an unhelpful attitude to customers. The coverage is surprisingly poor even in central london.

As a new joiner I asked if I could take advantage of the double data black friday deal, they said I would have to cancel, take my number to a competitor then bring my number back as a new customer to get this offer!

I was previously with talkmobile where the customer service and coverage(vodafone) is excellent. When their tariff was updated I called them up and they switched me over to the improved tariff within 5 minutes.

Hi. Yes double data is applied to the plan for a full 12 months. After 12 months the plan will still exist, but the double data allowance will come off and return to the normal allowance - i.e. £10 = 4GB for 12 months, after 12 months this will becomre 2GB.

Hope that helps.
