I just spotted this whilst buying a couple of bits from cotw and thought it worthy of a post. There are only 100 packs available so get in quick as they usually sell out quite fast.
Edit: It would seem more have been added, there are 94 left now as of 29/7 8:52PM.

I've had these pods and the powder before, they are very, very hot if not used wisely, if you are careful with it though you can add some really great flavour to your dishes and sauces with a nice bit of kick. I've had quite a few bits from cotw in the past, everything I've had has been top notch and delivered quickly. I've even got 2 of their chilli plants that they sell growing here, no chillies yet but I haven't killed them lol.

The Naga Bhut Jolokia is commonly known as the Ghost Chili.

It's got a chili rating (scoville) of roughly 1,000,000, which compared to Jalapeño of 10,000, that makes the Ghost chili x100 hotter!!

I would advice to take caution when cooking and consuming this chili!

I get really good dopamine hit off this stuff. Also really good for training purposes if you're planning on entering chilli eating or man-vs-food type contests, or maybe even if you just want to impress your mates by eating the hottest thing on the menu without flinching.

;-D

Ordered, but never used chillies before or chilli powder - anyone have any hints for me? Looking to make a vindaloo heat like curry, and some spicy chicken and rice? what should I use for which dish?

Thanks, will give it a go!
Any other good deals in their shop you can recommend?

Ordered....... Bring on the real heat

I made a sauce (as such) on Sat night... I used Encona's Jamaican special reserve hot sauce, teaspoon of ghost chilli (about 8grams) and half teaspoon of Xtra hot chilli powder, simmered and mixed for 10 minutes....
Then put on the side for my buddies...... (BBQ nite)

I like it hot, but that sauce was unbearable (I like super crazy hot sauces too), 1 friend couldn't eat his food after dipping his bbq sarnie into it! Good stuff!!!!!!

My advice would be to ignore this for now and go with some off the shelf powder or get some mixed fresh chillies and deseed and de- pith them yourself and play around with them to get the right amount of potency you need, tasting as you go. If you feel the major supermarket offerings just aren't cutting it then maybe try some of the above in small quantities. Its no to be messed with its proper strong. There is nothing worse than prepping a nice meal only to find you've over spiced it and you and your guests cant eat it.

Hotter than a group of young nuns doing squat thrusts in a cucumber patch.

Chipotle are awsome but bhuts are my fav.Hot but have flavour.Very welcome in everything i cook.Normally buy from scorchio.co.uk but might give this a try.Nice little find

CotW were briefly in Stafford market, I got a few things off them. Unfortunately they disappeared pretty quickly and went back to online only

Jalapeños are 2500 to 5000 scovilles not 100, 000 actually making this 200 to 400 times hotter

Just bought 3 of these lets see how hot they are

£3.50 for 20g??? Hot Headz sell 50g for £3.99!! Better deal in my eyes!

Naga Jalokia chilli is around 1,200,000 not 1,000,000. Stop quoting poor websites. This has been my hobby for years. Last week I uploaded a video to YouTube of me eating a home grown Trinindad 'Butch T' Scorpion chilli rated at 1,400,000 ...Now that was HOT lol!

Depends on the quality and source.

Easy to grow these yourself and eat them fresh. They will grow quite happily in a sunny windowsill, in a greenhouse and even reasonably well in a sunny sheltered spot outside. Mine are just starting to fruit now but i've got plenty frozen and dried from last year that keeps me going.

HotHeadz are really good and Mr Vikki's King Naga is amazing!

Vindaloo or madras? Hot! Hot!!

@uktottys In my honest opinion HotHeadz are one of the leading names in the chilli industry. I do also like Mr Vikki's as I've had quite a few of their curries. But let's not forget ChilliPepperPete, God bless his soul!

received mine today, quick delivery

going to make an indian with it, not sure how much to use
