So for example I have GTAV on Xbox One in mint condition, they will at the moment give me £16 'Trade In' value so tomorrow they should honour it as £32 ... WOW !!
Amazing deal, as long as you want to spend the credit straight away...

They're rumoured to be in trouble again, and if they're resorting to desperate acts like this all the more reason to be cautious.

Hmmm, I've been hearing that rumour on and off for a while now buddy

Nothing ever seems to materialise
Very tempting 48 for Mario world wii u. Wii u is dead might as well try and get funds for the PS VR
bet they drop values of some games over night
What happens if you ask them to price match CEX? Be great if they added £1 per game and then doubled that!

Terms state the place to price match has to be within a 1 mile radius
Sorry OP but had to vote cold as its not worth it with GAME's pricing. Even getting £32 store credit for GTAV sounds like a good deal, but I could sell on eBay and get around £28 cash after fees and delivery... Then I could spend that in CEX where games are hugely underpriced in comparison to GAME. Ok if you're used to only getting single GAME credit but if you have a CEX, better to go there!
Ooh, been thinking of getting shut of my Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition.

I'm fairly confident that you'd get one or the other, not both.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's something in the terms that caps the available credit according to the price that they currently sell for - otherwise this seems very open to abuse!

Can't see the special edition on the website, but if I can get 30 quid for Awakening, I'll be happy.
It does seem a bit crackers.
Ooo.... Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash (3DS) £7... so doubled would be £14. Considering I bought the Smyths deal posted here with the Amiibo at £10, it means free Amiibo and £4 profit - ker-ching!
cex games are ridiculously overpriced, that's why they give u a good cash price and trade in price for your games. I can buy equivalent new games cheaper than there used ones most of the time, when it comes to recent titles.
When I hear the trade-in value for some consoles in my local Game store it makes me laugh. The other day a guy bought in a working PS3 console which they tested and would have offered him £30 but because the controller's analogue stick was 'sticking' they wouldn't take it unless he replaced it with one of their second-hand controllers which cost £28, giving him a grand total of £2! Naturally he didn't take it. I would have offered him at least a fiver! X)

Not tempted by their offer to get a 2TB Xbox One S for £199 then? You only have to trade in your existing Xbox One and three games... (_;)

Bear in mind that this is store credit that you're referring to - you can't directly equate its value to that of cash.

a whole 2 pounds!!!! yes!!!!!
Trade in prices dropped last year when they did this promo but still a great time to trade in your unwanted games that trade in for a good value on the double up.

Also the price matching offer can't be used in conjunction with this offer

That is true. But I tend to hang onto credit until they sell something cheap like BlazBlue Chronophantasma Limited Edition for the XB1 that I bought from GAME for £9.99... yet they offer £8 credit atm - doubled and they're already making a loss...

Well, if that's true then it's an amazing deal for sure. I'd trade-in my Wii U copy of One Piece Unlimited World Red but even though I dislike the game I still want to own a physical copy of it.

Seems like people here will either overpraise or overly criticise one or the other company. No balance.

Reading the guardians piece it looks like they will be able to get the insurance. Should get a uptick in sales due to e3. I'm rethinking my sales to them, may just eBay them.
Read the reports deffo seems game's second coming is over. Got £35 voucher to spend will do it by the weekend. Problem is as everyone spends their vouchers in a mad rush this only makes games problem worse as they dont actually gain cash sales.

I dont care as they are overpriced and always have been
Do the trade in prices GAME gives on their website reflect those instore? I was going to nip into GAME tomorrow anyway to grab a copy of Fire Emblem Fates with cash yet Cex down the street have Twilight Princess HD in stock for £20 and GAME say they give £24 so I could buy it at Cex, trade in for double credit and get the game £28 cheaper. Anyone think that would work?
Is this for all stores? Also can't seem to find the page on their website, does anyone have a direct link with the offer in case I need to show them instore?
Edited by: "killerboy32" 16th Jun 2016
GAME will not offer you more than what they are selling the title for new or pre-owned.
Managers can do whatever they want. If they dont want a game they can refuse it
I smell a rat. Wouldn't be surprised if they're close to going under again.
Good deal but we never trade in or sell ok if you do though.
Can you spend money from trade ins instore on the Game website at all? They sometimes have deals you can't get in store.

Cex are the most expensive store on the high street by miles, all thier stuff is 2nd hand but costs the same (sometimes more) than New.
I have £121 credit with game. Keeping my ears pinned incase they do go under, il be buying a load of fifa 07s. That would be the smart move, honest

Just checked, they are giving £19 for dark souls 3 so id take £38 if it was offered, only got 2 cheevos left to get, will take me 30 mins max

Can't see this offer anywhere on the website. Any evidence the deal is actually a thing?
I believe the last time they did this there were a few announcements on FB etc, yet there's nothing

EDIT: Each store has sent a tweet out with their terms and conditions for the deal. Some require you to trade them in DURING the england - wales game, most don't though
