Here’s How You Can Treat Acid Reflux Once & For All - With Acid Reflux Diet!

Acid Reflux or GERD, commonly perceived as this annoying burning sensation in your throat, is hard to treat with medicines. The truth is that custom remedies consist of antacids, which, although they neutralize stomach acids and relieve the condition, they disturb ion balance, causing the body harmful effects.

It seems that the safe solution to Acid Reflux is DIET. And this is the central theme of this book!

Hope So. It's about reducing the acidity in the stomach.
Do not have food or drink that triggers your symptoms is promoted by the NHS.
NHS advice is Do
  • eat smaller, more frequent meals
  • raise 1 end of your bed 10 to 20cm by putting something under your bed or mattress – make it so your chest and head are above the level of your waist, so stomach acid does not travel up towards your throat
  • try to lose weight if you're overweight
  • try to find ways to relax

Don't
  • do not have food or drink that triggers your symptoms
  • do not eat within 3 or 4 hours before bed
  • do not wear clothes that are tight around your waist
  • do not smoke
  • do not drink too much alcohol
  • do not stop taking any prescribed medicine without speaking to a doctor first

Worth trying I would guess

Lanzaprazole has helped me immeasurably, I've even put on weight as food stays in for longer and i can sleep without acid burning my throat.

Read that but it's not all dosages or manufacturers think your GP or pharmacists should be able to advise onwhich ones are safe.

GP doesn’t really care, as long as I don’t get symptoms while on lanzoprazole they are not worried. I asked about a new surgical technique where they place a magnetic band around your sphincter but was advised not to due to lack of feedback.

I'm guessing she's not any relevant kind of doctor, because otherwise it would say so? I can't find any information about her credentials.

I'm also curious how she's internationally best-selling, because this appears to be her only release. Indeed, her website just goes to the Amazon page for the book.

My missus has, its called dysmotility (hers is anyway). Its either spasms in the throat muscles or the two types of throat muscles (one vertical, one horizontal) not working together properly. She also has HH and IBS, still at the doctors trying to get some answers years on... typical quacks...

Thanks for the reply, none of it’s nice!
I think a lot of people opt for the typical antacid medication to reduce stomach acid but your stomach needs acid to digest food. obviously for some its more than just an acid issue but if you just suffer from heartburn or excess acid then you should try zinc carnosine which is the main treatment in japan for stomach ulcers its been shown to be more effective than normal drugs. Whilst you may not have a stomach ulcer zinc carnosine works to repair the lining and cures the heartburn as well. You can buy from Amazon, its not that common over here but it does work, its not instant so do be taking it and thinking after a couple of days its doing nothing it takes a few weeks, really you need to be taking it daily for 6-8 weeks and usually see improvements after 3-4 weeks - after all it takes time to repaid stomach lining.

From wiki: It has been shown to stimulate mucus production and to maintain the integrity of the gastric mucosal barrier.[5] It maintains homeostasis of the gastric mucosa by prostaglandin-independent cytoprotective effects due to anti-oxidative membrane stabilizing actions, and it promotes the repair of damaged tissues by wound healing action.[6]

Why?
Not being funny, just curious.

Diet reduced stress/caffeine and a good mix of gut flora will help out more in the long term than ppi antacids etc but they are useful in extreme cases
