Just ordered and works with student discount so got them for £40 a great steal!
I spotted these earlier but couldn't get the site to show a description so looked for other places selling them. Found this place which describes them as having a 'velvet feel' finish. I'm sure some may be happy with that but just mentioning it for those like me that wouldn't have realised otherwise.

It's also worth noting that Docs are appalling quality these days. Not that makes this a bad deal as such as it's cheaper than you are likely to find elsewhere but do be aware Docs of today are not of the long lasting quality that made them famous.

The leather was poor quality and I couldn't 'break the boots in'. A few years ago I bought a couple of pairs of 'Made in England' DMs - you can get them 50% off sometimes - these are way better quality and easier to break in. Thought I'd mention it if like me you still miss the old boots.

Try NPS/Solovair, they used to make the soles for DMs, we go to the factory shop in Northampton. The boots are fantastic, and there are real bargains in the factory shop.

Quality wise these would be the UK made Docs hence the original price being so high so the quality should be as they have always been. The ones that are cheaper to start with will be the outsourced ones made abroad and the quality dips .However , saying that I picked up a cherry colour pair of the foreign ones cheap and they are still comfy and going strong two years on.
Are these small fit? Shall I go a size up? Thank you

Have to disagree about them being appalling quality. Been wearing my oxblood docs almost everyday for a couple of years, sole barely worn down, still look great and very very comfortable.
Sold out, gutted

Have you checked your email receipt? We brought some boots, showed the student discount but once the email confirmation came through it went back to the original sale price.
Mine is fine. I have made two separate purchases and both had the student discount applied. It reflects the amounts taken from my bank too.
Thank you for this, been after a pair for a while now, the style will be right up my street. Student discount and free P&P too
I wonder if they'll do this as 10 holes ?
