Is it me or has the taste changed? I drank it recently after a long time and it didn't taste anywhere near as good

Maybe my Taste buds for worst.

I remember it had a strong cherryish taste

Now it's like a horrible Vanilla fizzy medicine
"Dr Pepper?.. Tastes like fizzy benylin"
The trouble I have with 3 Litre bottles of pop is, once it's opend unless it's consumed quickly, it tends to go flat. I've given up with 2 and 3 Litre bottles and only buy 330ml cans. Granted a more expesive way to buy pop, however, far less wastefull, so swings and roundabouts, I suppose.

Nevertheless, good price for 3 Litres of Dr Pepper.
Goodbye teeth

Basically like all the drinks companies they've mucked around with the sugar content and replaced with sweeteners. Won't buy it any more. Their loss as used to love it.
My favourite doctor after Oekter. .
Often reduced to £1 for 2 L so not a massive deal. I have trouble consuming 3 L before it goes flat as I'm the only one who likes it.
I think you won't see it this cheap anymore especially after April. Take note this might be stock clearance prices.

Yeah, it was a long way back now, about 3 and half years ago, they replaced over 30% of the sugar with sweetener.

The ones from Coca Cola Freestyle machines still taste good though, especially if you add Cherry/Vanilla. Only time I ever get one now is at Burger King, Five Guys or Smashburger.

The government thinks that making the manufacturers reduce the sugar content in soft drinks will make us thinner. IMO sweetener is much worse health wise and taste rubbish to boot.

They say it's about health but companies do this try to make stuff as cheap as possible but still charging the same price or more,

The government doesn't care, they just want to slowly keep feeding chemicals
They are impentanting the plan to get rid of everything natural and find the poor people chemicals to keep the dumb down on drugs
It may sound like some crazy conspiracy but it's not

Aspartame is one of the products what's mostly used, that's the worst one
It's considered a drug, even type aspartame on Google's, it says it's a drug whilst the other sweeteners are considered food or sugar substitute

I hear in America instead of Sweetners in sodas they use high fructose corn syrup

I hear it's still bad but it's not as bad as aspartame
Plus it tastes miles better

Hahaha mate I've seen some tin foil hat posts on this site before but this takes the cake. Serious congratulations on that.

So they're "feeding the poor" this stuff - Do middle/upper class people not have access to soft drinks as well?

My bad, forgot no one with a high net worth drinks fizzy drinks.

Amazing...

Well maybe am over exaggerating a "little" but they do want to turn all products into non natural, pure chemical food,
It may not be to make us slow on drugs but so they can make more money

If you think am crazy (I am a little, ain't we all)
Go into your local supermarket and look at the ingredients, Google what they are

You could find some nasty stuff, especially in Frozen meat products and Processed foods
(Recently been proven to cause cancer)

The higher risk is ultra-processed food such as
Mass-produced packaged breads and buns
Sweet or savoury packaged snacks including crisps
Chocolate bars and sweets
Sodas and sweetened drinks
Meatballs, poultry and fish nuggets
Instant noodles and soups
Frozen or shelf-life ready meals
Foods made mostly or entirely from sugar, oils and fats

Thing is though the new mix with sweeteners don't taste as good so I really don't think they want to change the recipe, surely more sugary and addictive it is means more sales. I remember when talk of sugar tax they were told to reduce sugar content. Same reason why the cereals of the 90s don't taste good anymore the removed the sugar and replaced with salt and sweetners.

Moral of the story, this country sucks in every way

Did you know Britian is ranked the worst in the world for food from multiple sources
Explains why most people here eat American, Italian, Chinese and Indian food

British food > American food.

As someone who has lived in both countries, I'm telling you that as a fact. Italian food is heavily overrated as well. Multiple sources do not a definitive decision make.

Nah
USA Candy > British Candy
American drinks are miles better then UK (especially now that their is a sugar tax so companies are making their products horrible)

Basically I know the snacks are miles better in USA and the cereal but I can't anything about the meals as I have never been

That's just your opinion, not a fact
There's websites where tons of tourists and citizens rate the country

I think the British Vs American Dishes are a matter of opinion but I think it's a Fact that the drinks and snacks are better in USA

Dr Pepper UK Vs USA Is a huge difference. USA version is much nicer

American sweets are sugary, chemical filled crap. Their chocolate in particular is utterly awful which is why a lot of British chocolate is considered a luxury item there.

I find this current trend in the UK towards American rubbish (e.g. Krispy Kreme donuts) to be utterly baffling.

"Basically I know the snacks are miles better in USA and the cereal but I can't anything about the meals as I have never been"

Exactly whereas I have lived in both countries and I'm telling you, despite how much the Americans like to take the piss, the food is better here.

I said i cant say anything about the dishes but i can say something about the snacks, you dont need to live in america to try the food
`American sweets are sugary, chemical filled crap` they are suppose to be, its Candy/Sweets, that doesnt mean they dont taste good
do a blindfolded taste test with the UK and USA versions of the same product, you will see what i mean

Ok i am going to end it by saying this, Its a matter of opinion, its just the majority prefer American food and drink
