Sam Raimi returns to the genre where he made his name, with shocks and laughs aplenty. Featuring action handled with all the style and verve for which Raimi has become renowned, Drag Me To Hell is a rollercoaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat for every pulse-pounding second.

Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, Professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home.

In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?

For Halloween it will be a very entertaining night in. I liked this film. It's not amazing but it's good fun and entertaining. I think my expectations were a little too high when I watched it first time and I'd like to see it again.

It certainly isn't "the scariest movie of the decade".

watched in the right surroundings (loud 5.1 digital, dark, huge projected display), This is! the scariest movie of the decade)

cheap blu-ray although i thought it was pants!

Absolute bargain, been wanting this for a while

I always liked this so bought it today, I guess it's a like it or hate it film

this is seriously scary, scary how crap it actually is.
cheap bluray, poor movie imo

Fantastic film - very much in the same mould as Evil Dead films (I said "mould", not "as good as"). The stuff the lead actress was forced to do... poor girl, lol.

Great price too, hot from me.

I agree - there's nothing psychologically scary about this: it's all about making you jump, but if you can watch in the dark on a big screen then few other films will make you leap out of your seat quite so relentlessly.

Well said Athia not quite as good as the Evil Deads but a very good watch

Hilarious film. Laughed more than I was scared, but it was really, really good.

The goat makes it worth it alone.

The talking goat should have got more air time.

Sadly, now the bargain price of £16.99. Expired.
