i know this is late, but im one of the people who had no idea their was a promotion back in January to pre order this game and get an free upgrade to this edition which includes lots of free DLC. to my amazement after looking everywhere online i saw this on grainger games last week, i pre-ordered it and wished for the best and low and behold i just received it today, and all the prices are the same as they were back in January!

I ordered the pc version which i received today, so i cannot guarantee for the other platforms.

good luck with that, find me this edition anywhere online for this price

not saying i can bud im just saying dont think ill pay 40. May just hope i see it elsewhere lol!

It's like £38.99 for the normal edition in Gamestation alone.

Mugs.

Release day DLC is nothing more than content from the base game that the developers have stripped out in order to sell at a premium to credulous mugs.
Simply on a moral ground this should be voted cold. Though if you need a more concrete reason, the game is a shamelessly dumbed down console title that would be more accurately described as Mass Effect 2 Fantasy Edition.

Well Bioware stated that the price of the 'stripped' DLC will be around £4-£5, this specific edition allowed people who purchased it free upgrade to that DLC you stupid MUG!

So your opinion of the full retail version is based on what other people have said (in print, or in person).

OK, thanks.

is that a bad thing? after all the reviewer and his friend played it.

The reviewer may be biased for whatever reason. The people spoken to (note: no mention of friends) may not be used to that genre & may not give appreciate the game for what it is.

First-hand experience is surely better than the word of somebody you do not know; although the word of members in thread like this may influence others whether to purchase or not
