Dragon Age Inquisition / EA Xbox One sale cheaper on Hungarian Xbox Marketplace - £17.24

Right so this is not a repeat of the deal posted yesterday as things are a damn sight cheaper on the Hungarian store, I just had a look and the most expensive game on the deal, Dragon Age Inquisition, is 7,192 Fl which is equivalent to £17.24 which is a significant saving (not including the conversion charge that your bank will charge you). On my last deal involving the hungarian marketplace people got confused on how to set it up, so here is the guide on exactly how to do it.

So to buy off the Hungarian Xbox store do the following:

Go to settings.
go to system
change your region to Hungary, language to English UK
Reboot console

Once you reboot then you will launch with access to the Hungarian store.

Go to buy said game and add credit card details. Keep your credit card details the same as you would normally. (use Xbox Smartglass for quicker typing)

When it comes to billing address, keep the following the same
Address Line 1 & 2
City

When it asks you pick state just pick Budapest. When it asks for a post code / zip code just type 1234

Then when it asks for a phone number type 06-123-4567

Then the transaction should just go through as normal. Cheap games for everybody!!!

Arrgghhhh I ended downloading for the PC because I missed the last time it was on a sale in the EU.
Ohh well may as well get it for the XBO.

Cheers

;o)

Just tried following your instructions but it wont save the credit card details. Keeps reverting to the "add billing info to continue"

Never mind. Left the window then returned and its there. Heat added.

You can't use a credit card to order from a store outside of your geographical location anymore.

You can use prepaid cards, but not credit cards.

so does tie to your uk account then?

and also is there a chance they'll revoke it

you can. Just done it.

To my knowledge no one has had one revoked yet and people are still happily using the US site regularly. They've definitely blocked India which was the favourite for really cheap deals before (and possibly Mexico also?)

YMMV then, I am a frequent purchaser from many different xbox stores, and they removed the functionality to use CC's (maybe from select locations), and the only way to get them now is to get prepaid cards.

As for the questions about it tieing to your UK account, it doesn't need to, once you download it you just use it like you would any other digital release.

As for people getting banned revoked, the only time there has been an issue was when people preorder DA:I from the India store, and then the game got pulled from India which left some people out of pocket, in the years that the xbox one has been released, not a single person has been banned, or had content revoked that was purchased legitimately from another store location.

Just used my credit card to purchase the Deluxe Edition. Question is I'm assuming I have to stay on the Hungarian region until the game has been downloaded??

Heat added!!

Can you purchase via PayPal?

it used to be not that long ago that your region could only be changed every 3 months (to deter people from doing the 1 month free gold loophole) if that is still the case then you have to ask yourself is this worth it?

Nope, that was using the license transfer on the xbox 360, the xbox one is completely region free, hence the ability to change regions as many times as you want.

You aren't region switching your account jonny, you are changing the console region there is no limits to how many times you can do this

Yes it is worth it , why would I pay upto £55 for a digital game when I can spend under £30 for exactly the same.

I have US, UK , Russian, Hungarian , Indian and even an account for Hong Kong under my main UK , if you log into the Microsoft commerce site you will see the various accounts listed under your account

My card started producing the pbr error though which means your card gets flagged and you'll have to start using gift cards.

Not everyone gets flagged though so can still use credit card fine

Just traded my physical copy in at Game for £32.00... Lol

As far as I know, it was India and Hong Kong that got revoked wasn't it? Those seemed to be the ones that were abused the most. I guess Hungary will end up the same sooner or later.

Ahh man if I was braver I'd buy it

Bargain for the rest of you though!

just bought the deluxe edition for about £21 from the Hungarian store.

Hi

I don't want to change it on my console, can this be done on the website instead and if so, how?

You dont want to change what? Its easy and completely reversable to change regions. It takes seconds.

Just downloading it now thanks woohoo

Anyone know where you can buy hungarian xbox gift cards?

Can anyone tell me how much GTA V is in Xbox one from the Hungarian site? If it's cheap I'll be all over it haha

Gta is £50

For me, it just keeps saying "Add Billing info to continue" and I've entered billing details about five times now, tried different cards too. I don't get why PayPal can't be used

Is it easier to do on the website? It's a pain to keep entering billing info on a controller only to be told to do it again

Is it on sale for PC platform ?

just try it mate you have nothing to lose, the worst that can happen is that it rejects your payment, on the plus side you save a fortune.

It works, trust me!!

Connect your smartphone to ur Xbox one and use smartglass it's ten times easier than typing in with a controller, when u add one set of credit card and billing details it saves those details until next time you use it for that region, so when the purchase goes through you can easily switch back to UK and carry on downloading it.

Last year I had 4 different billing addresses on 4 different regions I wasn't in and I would just compare the prices for all the games I wanted, which was pretty much all of them. Saved an absolute fortune on games.

Anybody know what sort of price the credit card company charges for the conversion rate? I know the price would probably differ card to card, just a ball park figure so i have some sort of idea. Thanks
