Advice I can give to anyone thinking of buying this: Stick with it - it's definitely a grower. The first ten maybe even fifteen hours are hard work but it blossoms in to something pretty damn special.

Pro tip: ensure you stay away from "guardian inclination" in all your pawns (rented and main) because they will not attack a thing and you may as well not have them in battles

Heat added.

The way your group of characters interact, makes it feel like you are playing the game online with other people.

I am around 25 hours in and I am still scratching the surface of the content.

I'm almost jealous of you- I'd love to experience it all again for the first time. Saying that I put about 50-60hrs in to it and not touched the Dark Arisen content yet.. So I will be back... When I've finished Elex.

Always remember "wolves hunt in packs"

Elex is another great game, a bit clunky, but very playable.

Oh its horrible... Horrible voice acting, horrible animations, horrible character models, horrible combat, horrible AI, horrible story.. Pretty much "horrible at everything that usually makes a game good".... But it is a Piranha Bytes game so I knew all that going in... AND I AM FRICKING LOVING IT!

Not
for everyone but definitely more than the sum of its parts!
Im playing elex too its horrible but great, loving every frustrating minute!!! Dragon's dogma is an excellent game, played it when it first came out and the dark arisen well worth getting, highly recommended. Years later my brother still goes on about my fight with a gore chimera he watched me take down. Super wee game from capcom!!!
Played it on x360, a lot of running but still a decent rpg.
This game was amazing when it came out and it added so many new features to RPG's which haven't been adopted since, which is why I absolutely adore this game. Bought it when it re-released on PC and fell back in love with it. For £7.91 you cannot go wrong.
