I still need to finish the first one.

Jut played the demo. It is around 30-40 minutes off gameplay. You can save in between, it seems you'd be able to carry over your ave to the full version (?). Defo a massive improvement over the first one. You'd get a buddy with you who helps collection materials. Seems like a great idea to me.
Ooooo I know what I'm playing later.
Really liked the first. But 4 worlds was little lacking.
Thanks, I am looking forward to this one

It says in the demo when you wake up on the island that your save data won't be used in the full version of the game. I think playing the demo allows you to skip the first scene on the pirate ship, though.

I was not sure about that. Did not read carefully all the dialogues. Thanks for the clarification.
Was really into the first but it got tedious and limited by level 3, don't think I can buy a sequel to a game I didn't even finish (a rule I've ignored for almost every GTA of course...)

I fell for it
Hmm they don't let you do much if any of the actual gameplay outside of the tutorial
how is the switch framerate / performance? people that played the japan version didnt say good things about it.

Well, this one is huge...many islands, 10x more of...everything. I recomend

Unfortunately, the Switch version is lock at 30fps on normal conditions (can drop with too many animation and rain). If you can choose between the PS4 version and the Switch, I recommend the PS4 because is 60fps,

Between DQB & DQB2, they have not directly related. The 2nd one is better in so many points. If you liked the first one but, don't liked the limitations and problem he had, fear not, the second is beyond better. Unfortunately, the demo don't give him proper justice.

This one isn't done like the first where it's 4 worlds is it?

Played some of the demo but turned it off shortly into the island.
I need to try the Switch demo. I watched a comparison of the Japanese versions, where someone ran from one side of an island to the other, ps4 vs switch, and the game was slowed down so much on Switch that same journey took a significantly longer time.
While the demo might be passable, once you build up a village in the full game, the lack of performance headroom likely hits performance.

Its a shame as the first game's performance was solid on Switch, 720/60 docked & 720/30 portable. If the sequel is 720/30 (?) and not even guaranteed that, I think the PS4 version would be the better option given the choice.
I imagine its an unintended consequence of a much more ambitious game.

I noticed frame rate drop and long load times. Not enough to ruin it for me though.
