Dragon’s Heart craft ale
ABV: 4.5%
A new permanent addition to our canned craft ale range. At 4.5% this is a fulldrinking premium Welsh Ale which is malty and gently hopped. Dragons
Heart has a rich colour and smooth balanced character with lots of red fruit flavour and buttery overtones.
HOPS: WGV & Challenger

Celtic Gold Craft Lager
ABV: 4.8%
This golden coloured ale is brewed using a unique blend of hops including
noble hops. Gold in colour with a moderate bitterness from the noble hops, Celtic Gold has a lean and attenuated body, but is full of character, packs flavour and has a beautiful crisp finish.
HOPS: WGV & Challenger

Saw this in home bargains today and was tempted but ended up buying 4 x 330ml cans of SOL for £2.49.
Is it any good and what is it similar to.
No idea about the lager but tried the Dragon Heart in cask over the weekend. Had plenty of flavour but I prefer something a little less malty.

I don't know how the canned version holds up but bear in mind the brewery's nickname - Feelinfoul!
Strikes me as fairly ‘normal’ beer thrust into a 330ml can to capitalise on the craft hype... with the very word ‘craft’ added for good measure! Too much of it going on at the moment. Nothing wrong with a full pint can for this kind of beer!

That said, I’ll give them a go for the price if I can find it. Cheers for the heads up!

I know what you mean. There are plenty of 'craft' brewers and enthusiasts who would scoff at this being described as craft ale.

Then again, there are plenty of 'craft' ale enthusiasts who are so far up their own fundament and arrogantly assertive that their craft ale is so much better than real ale. I try to ignore them.

If something's got good flavours and is reasonably priced I'll buy it: if it's all mouth and no trousers and/or a rip off I won't.

Well said. I’m with you on that.
