This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Really enjoyed Nier: Automata and I think this is some sort of prequel or the game it was spun-off of?

Anyways, I think this seems like a decent price for it at 50% off as it’s now on sale for the latest January Sale on PSN. It doesn’t seem to have ever been released physically in the UK so digital might be the only option.

I can’t really tell if it’s that great of a game going by reviews, but I guess if someone else is willing to dust off their PS3 and curious to try it out like me then this deal might help out.

I imported this game after really enjoying the original NieR on PS3.

If you're looking for gameplay similar to Automata then you'll be disappointed, it's not made by Platinum and was built on UE3 (so runs at 12fps at times). If you're looking for a really dark Yoko Taro plot and insane cast of characters then it may scratch that itch, although you'll probably want the prequel DLC to get the most out of it (and avoid late game grind).

Despite enjoying it myself, I'd recommend the original NieR over this, if you can find a copy cheap enough (no digital version). It's closer to Automata in tone and has a much more direct connection to the plot and characters.

Nier was spun off from an obscure ending from the original Drakengard back on PS2 - while they're good/fine games, they're not really comparable to Nier.

Yeah, it's cool that these wierd tangents get spun off into their own worlds/games, but it does mean that they're completely different kinds of games.
Fantastic series.
