Maybe so, but the 'deal' here is for a set of Draper spanners and no-one is claiming they're a replacement for Snap-on or similar. A quick google shows that this is probably the best price around for this particular set and that's what the deal should be judged on.

These spanners are absolutely fine for occasional/emergency use and get fairly good reviews on Amazon, which is a bonus.

Yes, that definitely applies to stuff like screwdrivers and power tools, but not necessarily spanners. Any cheap branded spanners, including draper, silverline, forge steel, etc will do most jobs a diyer needs to do. Granted, they may well round off considerably sooner than more expensive types but then they are only designed for occasional and not professional use. Why would someone who uses spanners 3 or 4 times a year pay £5+ per spanner when a perfectly good set costs £8??

For what it is, this is a good deal.
