Sounds suspiciously like the one Maplin used to do (now discontinued) for about £40, when it wasn't discounted to half-price. It was however well known to be useless, if not downright misleadingly specified. They now have one at about £50.

If this is one of those engine starter for flat batteries, it's rather expensive. You can get them for much less from Lidl/Aldi/Netto, for about £20. Besides that, they do not work well. A small tyre pump is about £7 from Argos. Not voting because it is less than half price but still not good value, imo.

Don't waste your money on it , you need at least a 1000 amp version

Yes, but this one delivers the power needed to start your car on a cold winters morning!

So does the Draper? you can start a car with 300amp and the draper is 700 more than enough to start your car in the winter (unless you drive a 5 litre car) another £50 for 300amp more is just a waste of money, this site is about hot deals & this is a quality product at a far cheaper price than you can find elsewhere,

The cranking capacity of the Draper is of little use when trying to turn over an stone cold engine on a freezing morning and firing the ignition as well, it doesn't have enough guts for the job.

I have sold a great many of the Sealey ones and also seen quite a few of these combined compressor/starters returned, because they are not up to the job, we have now stopped selling cheap ones because of that.

I looked at getting one of these a few weeks back as was having trouble with my battery but just got a new battery for that price.

That's good to know, who do you work for? Maybe you could give us all a good deal?

I really think you are missing the point of either the site or the product? Firstly, it's the best deal (ie: a hot deal as it can't be found cheaper anywhere else) & if everyone followed that way of thinking we would all buy a new printer everytime the ink ran out rather than buying more ink? this is an item that can be used for any car & also as a compressor (inflating tyres/inflatables/using as a jet wash etc) it's a DIYers tool not for someone with one car who lives in a flat (if you know what I mean)

I know exactly what you mean think your ink logic is a bit out of context, I also have a compressor and a foot pump but not in all 5 cars, as for it being the best deal clearly it is not if it doesn't do the job
