Thanks, looks like a good price I've added a price and a retailer name to your title, we always try to include these details when posting deals.

There's a review of a few different ones here: autoexpress.co.uk/pro…tml

It's interesting as the review was written in February 2005 yet the price quoted in their review of this product was......£11.69.... autoexpress.co.uk/pro…tml

Perhaps this price isn't so good after all?

I've always had issues with working under a car on axle stands without steel pins - just don't feel safe

Thanks for this

true, i dont like the look of them. car ramps any day if you dont need the wheels off.

When it comes to supporting over a ton of metal to protect yourself from crush damage... spend a bit extra.

Seconded. I just wouldnt trust axle stands ... especially cheap 'uns.
Might as well trust the car up on a trolley jack.

got a pair ... always borowed them from a friend but at this price i dont really need to anymore!

hopefully these are as safe as the ones with pins in them!

theyre draper and not cheap ones, just reduced price ones. I think for £33 a pair they are not cheap. Plus I would never rely on just axle stands no matter what the price. They are always a plan B !

draper are cheap ones.

Thanks, I've ordered a pair

amazon have now ran out - prices gone up as marketplace seller has them in stock.

FWIW for the past 40yrs, I have had in my possession a 15" high chunk of tree trunk (probably oak) that accompanies me EVERY time I have to lay under a car for any length of time - PLUS axle stands as well as keeping the jack in place (If possible).

I agree, that axle stands without a pin don't do it for me, either.

I've heard of having a chip on your shoulder - but for 40 years isn't that some sort of record

Expired.
