How does it compare to Tado?

How does it compare to Tado?

It's cheaper but needs more fiddling to achieve the same smart functions. Doesn't have temp display, should work better without internet, doesn't need subscription for said functions, doesn't need extra extension kit, the hub that comes with the starting kit already does it all.

These are just my 2p from reading on the internet before I invested. I never had tado.

Just installed 4 of these a couple of weeks ago, along with the heat hub and room thermostat for heating and hot water. The system works really well, and I've just brought 2 more rad stats. Thanks OP.

Glad I could help. I did the same, minus the hot water. So far so good. Will see on the bills compared to Nest in couple of months.
Wondering if anyone measure the actual temperature and compare it with what radiator Thermostats says?
I did compare radiator Thermostats with room thermostat and difference sometimes is huge!
Makes me thinking how accurate rad thermostats are in terms of correc temperature

I can do that tonight, how far from stat or where in the room would you like the temp taken?

Wondering if horizontal fit rather than vertical would make difference

This is how its supposed to be - radiator one will never show real temperature as they would apply some smart algorithm to derive temperature of the room from temp near the rad ( based on whether rad is working etc). If you want real control you need get a room stat in the same room away from rads. I have one in every room...
