I have this system. Be aware you will probably need range extenders. My home isn't big but needed to get 2 and the system still drops it's sign. Also the TRVs are temperamental and sometimes just don't operate.
Great price, voted hot.

Umm. Mines been fine so looks like you’re unlucky!
Hot from me. £5 off is a good deal
I wish the cold voters would tell me where to get it cheaper since I have lots of rooms i need these for.
Good deal, mine are fine too.

From reviews I've read, most complaints were poor signal, but suggested to get the extender socket. Bought one as well, so fingers cross, I have it handy if needed, else will be returning to Amazon.

I'm thinking the same, but are these on Zigbee? If so, my upstairs is full of Hue bulbs which extend Zigbee as well...

Your hue lights will operate on different network....so it doesn't help.

As in not zigbee or as in different zigbee network? Because my understanding is zigbee is universal and most mains powered devices (including bulbs) extend the mesh.

It is ZigBee - I believe. But you can compare it to wi-fi network. You can have multiple ZigBee networks in your home. That is why device has to be sync with your hub.
are these valves necessary really??

Would that mean my Smartthings wouldn't talk to my xiaomi sensors and or Hue bulbs? They do...I dont know enough about this to argue, but i was of the impression that zigbee signal jump from device to device therefore further than the original hub's reach...will see, i ordered the extension plug just in case i need it, if not i will return. thanks for the heads up tho.

My house is two storey, 4 bedroom house. I have had Nest but all the radiators upstairs keep heating the place when we are downstairs, so for me yes, they are.

So you use one hub....it is one network. Is is nothing to argue. In your oryginal post you mentioned only about hue bulbs.

Just ordered one cheers mate
This is a good deal, yet people are voting cold. Their trv are the cheapest compared to competitors, and I bought an extra as well.
If only people voting cold would share their concern, would greatly help us making an informed decision.

+1
Voted hot and bought, thanks. £35 is the standard discounted price for these.
Screwfix has them at the same price but would need to collect.
I've got a three storey house and these are fine with no drop out and more accurate than Tado smart radiator thermostats that mis-read the room temp by several degrees.
do you require the drayton room thermostat which connects to the boiler? or can the trv be controlled directly via the drayton hub?
As long as you have the hub you're OK. I've got two room stats but hardly use them, I either use the app or turn on the rads with the smart valve. I think the room stats are better for hallways we're you want those rads for background heating
confused, my current valves are manual just a + and -. will these work or do i need to purchase trv in addition for the drayton to work?

Can you easily take the bit with +/- off?
With something like this under it?
39113901-ChGSA.jpgNo need for TRVs, the ones on deal here replace TRVs, or screw on pin valve as pictured.
