I signed up with one of these deals over a year ago, their service was good enough that i stuck with them at the normal price after the first year.

I honestly cant fault them at all.

LOL I cant think of any sensible reason why someone would vote this cold o.o

Anyone get that - and can you use it on a UK account ?

Been with these guys for 5 1/2 years now.

Top service. Great customer support. Highly recommended.

I've been with dreamhost for few years now and I'm quite happy. At this price it's a steal.

Because soon as your site gets any serious traffic they'll disable the account.

Ok thanks for that good advice, voted cold also.

What? Basing that upon what exactly?

I know for a fact that is not true.

Bandwidth is cheap.

EDIT:

Thought i should provide some extra with that, I contacted them a few months ago asking what they consider excessive bandwidth to be, because i anticipated an upturn in BW usage. I was looking at around 1TB for that month... i quote

"A few TBs is nothing, dont worry about it"

I didnt... and i neednt have.

I don't know where you are getting that idea either. I've got 3 sites on mine doing over 1gb bandwidth per day and never had any problems at all.

Don't see why not - though when I took up a similar offer I had to stump up (I think it was a tenner) to seed the account before the "free" adwords money was credited.
Adwords credits are spread around like confetti on most commercial hosting offers - don't let this one turn your "hmmm - maybe" into a "OMG that's the best offer I've ever seen"

can you use this to setup a seedbox??

I think this should be in Vouchers????

lol, funny how its the same code found in the last 2 offers from them.... this one was voted very cold, funny how this one is getting heat. I thought it was hot myself!

Does anyone know what happens to in regards to billing? I assume you just use your credit card which is billed in dollars?

Original Poster

Well i just used my debit card, i get billed for it at the current exchange rate with no commission it would seem although they may fiddle the rate a little who knows

Live2giveuk, technically yes, but i wouldn't bother if i were you, its not an ideal setup for that, having said that, if you email them they may tweak your set up to be a little more conducive to it, but honestly you would be best going for a dedicated provider.

I use seedbox.cc.

where do you enter the promo code 777 when signing up, cant see where to put it

sorry but where can I apply the code 777 for the promotion please?

Traffic isn't only bandwidth. On shared servers traffic causes CPU spikes and high memory usage.

That's when your traffic starts to affect other customers resulting in them pulling the plug.

Original Poster

You have somewhat missed the point here i think.

Nowhere does this claim to be a dedicated server for hosting a huge website with thousands of concurrent users.

Anyone who is capable of building and maintaining a website of that size wouldnt consider for a second hosting one on a shared server.

This is every bit a great deal for anyone who wants to host a small to medium website. What the package is DESIGNED to do.

Further more they will not just "shut you down"

If your website is consistently requiring enough server time to warrant migrating to a dedicated server they will do so, for free AND give you a month for free so you can figure out exactly what specs you need for the server.

I dont see how anyone could ask for more for less than £6
