DREDD £7 c'mon time to buy!!

Synopsis

A dangerous new drug that slows down reality for users is sweeping the dystopian world of Mega-City One, pushed by drugs boss Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her brutal cohorts. The only people who can stop this threat are the Judges and the toughest of these is Dredd, the 2000 AD comic star now appearing on Blu-ray. Played by Karl Urban, Judge Dredd is judge, jury and executioner in this lawless metropolis and is chosen to work with new recruit Cassandra Anderson. She’s played by Olivia Thirlby, star of The Darkest Hour, and despite initially failing the judge entrance test, she boasts psychic powers. The fearless pair end up at Peach Trees, a giant tower block, which acts as the headquarters of Ma-Ma and her gang, where they become embroiled in a brutal fight to the death. This is a must for comic book fans and those into all-action movies and is now available at Tesco.

Good film, good price, especially considering 3D & 2D for £7.

awesome film and price , just placed an order , thanks for the heads up

Good price. Heat added.

Good price. Mediocre film

Great film...very similar to 'The Raid' (without the choppy socky):D

Same price in store too

Great price for a great film.

this is awesome in 3d good price

Good price. I've heard good things about the 3D in this movie.

Good film. Shame it was knocked off by "the raid". (Dredd, comic aside, was made first, but post-production delayed release)

I live in hope a Dredd 2 will come, sans 2D-black-n-white-flickery-headache-inducing-with-ponsey-glasses-and-big-price-hike, or "3D" as the wallet reamers laughably call it.

Yep...excellent. It's proper 3D not the faked stuff:

Real of Fake 3D

The best action film in years, i'm not usually a fan of the genre but this really did it well.

still holding out for £5 in case I'm not keen and I need to flog it on ebay. won't be long now

I had a £ 2 voucher on an old account I don't use anymore so good to find a use for it. Thanks

Unlikely a sequel unless it sells well on disc. So buy it. A good basis for the Dredd universe.

There is a facebook page calling for a sequel which might not help it happen but it won't hurt.

Yeah, me too. Decent adaption, let down by too much of the action in ONE place, dismal main baddie (mom) and not enough of other Judges. Karl Urban does very well as Dredd. Like to see another go

it's a great film, if i couldn't watch it for free i'd snap it up at that price

Cheers op, just got a £2 clubcard voucher in the post today, ordered

If you are watching it for free then don't expect a sequel of this 'great film'.

Guess the poor folk on benefits can't afford a £7 film shame it's pretty good.

Films awesome Karl Urban is very open to a sequel, dvd and Blu sales will make it happen!

Theres an FB link:

LOL, I earn 34k a year and we have unlimited cards for Cineworld but I can't wait for Blu Ray releases when they are readily available months before release.

Get over it F.F.S

So you can easily afford them, but just choose to steal them? Gotcha. If a film makes squillions, I wouldn't care so much. But films that struggle to find an audience despite their quality really need the support of a registered sale.

Saw it in 3D at the cinema, one of the few films that I have enjoyed in 3D. £7 is a bargain if you are even remotely curious about the film.

Terrible film.

Was very disappointed in the 2D version's picture quality- huge amount of noise in the film's many dark scenes.
3D was superb though.

£7 ? be a crime not to....3 months in the cubes for insanity.

The raid dredd version

I do hope there is a sequel. So much colour to be added in the Dredd universe. Fatties, Otto Sump, the Dark Judges.

In case anyone missed it, here is Dredd as you've never seen.

Terrible film with a terrible actor, he only has one facial expression, constipated.

everyone ssying this is a rip off of the raid, even though the script was started in 06 and principle photography started 6 months before the raids, both films are great, still preferred dredd though.

Damn good film ! Saw this in the cinema and the 3D was very impressive. Well worth £7 !!!!!

Hot.

good film after the first 10min and i'd love to see 3d version but rather see a triple play so i can have it on dvd too,

That film didn't struggle in the audience I was in.

Did I mention I had a Cineworld season ticket so I have paid my dues.

All I'm saying is that if you wanted to watch a film more than once, they are available for free.

Still, it's worth £7 of anyone's money and is far better on 3D than say the new Star Trek film which was a huge let down.

DREDDFull film......

Hey fella, go peddle ya lousy morals somewhere else! I had a pint of Old Maty beer at my local the other day, suppose it's OK for me now to pop into Sainsbury's and help myself to a few bottles of it free of charge. Cos that's what I bought wasn't it?

Might be readily available but in poor quality, I would rather by the blu ray and watch it as it was intended, Not some crappy cam with tinny sound.

Plus it it doesn't help the film makers

passed up on this multiple times when it was £9 and kept regretting it glad it payed off waiting

Unfortunately the reports about the UK BD video quality haven't been good. Other countries have had better presentations.

I bought one earlier and I'm looking forward to finding out for myself!

Arguments about the moral and ethical dubiousness of piracy on HotUK always crack me up.

To be honest if it was not for piracy we would all still be paying ridiculous amounts of money for media.

It's part and parcel of a digital economy and has been essentially legitimised by Apple Match, Amazon Music and other music storage plans.

We cannot stop but if you upload your pirate material too us...it will only cost you £25 a year.

Stop whining. If a film is good enough or popular enough it will get made. Failing that they can crowd source funds.
