Bought one several years ago, it’s saved the day on numerous occasions. Great for delicate jobs.
Get some diamond tipped cutting discs from eBay and always wear eye protection......ALWAYS!

Different attachments seem really expensive, looked up the wood cutting blade for this and it’s over a tenner
Can this one be used to cut through things? I bought the Dremel Stylo a while back and it just stops if you try to cut things.

Alot will depend on the speed it can go and just how quickly you're trying to cut things. Slow and steady with these

It will cut through nails/screws/bolts as well as wood/plastics

Good price, you won't use it much, but it's a lifesaver for intricate jobs and you'll be glad you had it.
Last week I used it to recess two coax cables into a floor board that was tight up against a wall, worked a treat. Buy!
Copy disks and tools are cheap enough.
Yes , had a couple of awkward stuck/stripped screws/bolts in different places occasionally and pretty much only this was small enough to cut a groove so I could use a flat screwdriver to turn them. I seem to recall Dremels were really expensive when they first came out and so were the accessories, but nowadays there are other brands and you can get cheap cutting wheels on Ebay etc that will do the odd job as long as you don't need them all the time as I presume they don't last that long.

Thanks, been wanting one of these for a while!
Not bad, I got this in 2013 (seen on HUKD of course) for £28.99 and it's a decent light duty hand tool... it's not for heavy duty cutting and grinding, I think their picture of someone cleaning the BBQ rack is a somewhat stupid thing to promote but it's a handy 'get you out of trouble' tool as others have said above and for fine detailed work, prototyping and hobbies, it's hard to beat. Genuine attachments are costly, cheap no name are not as good but often half the price. Something that any DIYer should probably have 'just in case'

More stuff I don't need 😬
Never used this type of tool before, looking to grind out old grout from stone floor tiles, will I be able to do this and get the angle with this type of tool ?
I would recommend a multi tool if it’s a lot of grout that needs to be removed as shown

Here was a previous deal on a multi tool.

This is a fantastic little multi tool and a great price, it can cut through loads of things and I'm amazed how powerful it is, I've bought sets of blades and discs for ridiculously cheap from China, worth every penny

A guy I worked with was once asked to remove grout from a shower, he said 2 burnt out doing that, not sure if they were dremels or cheaper versions, but it was definitely a case of using the wrong tool for that job.
These are great for little jobs, only a small amount of pressure should be used, give the blade time to cut and time to cool.
I managed to chip the brushes on my 3000 after a particularly heavy session of use and after spending £8 on official replacements, turned out the supplied replacement springs were too long. They then got stuck in the housing/power switch, which I ended up having to replace with a cheap Ali express part and soldering the wires.

Seems to be working again but not convinced it's running at full tilt, anyone know if the motors/commutators wear or decline with use?

There is a special attachment for that purpose. My dad has one and seemed happy with it.

Try one of these

oh cool is that an extension does it work in any of the other dremel clones i.e. draper
The reviews are quite poor, shame as I am tempted!

Should do, I have the parkside one and it came with this kind of thing.
I killed my Dremel (more man slaughter than murder)

You think nearly 1500 just over 4 stars is poor
Literally never used mine
Mines a different model but love it. Cut off a large welded on bolt holding a jockey wheel clamp on my caravan using a disc, went through steel like butter. Don't even bother getting the drill out most times, this does the job. Not tried it on brick yet, need to put up a wall mounted washing line
Most useful multi-tool in the garage. I've used when working on the car, or the bikes - removing rust on both, to cutting a slot in rounded-off screw heads, and with the right attachment has cut perfect semi-circles in sheet wood to fit around pipes and boiler flue; yeah, there are other manufacturers, but a Dremel must surely have the widest range of accessories.

I do my own and the kids fillings with one. Saved me a fortune.
Ordered & heat. +£4.48 delivery though without Prime.
Bought mine. Good deal, well done op.

Think I'd rather use a Oscillating Multi-Tool instead tbh. You can get grout removal attachments for the Dremel however. Good luck whatever you choose 🏼

On that front page for me only one review is 4 stars, the rest are two or one star. Certainly off putting to me, maybe that is fine for you.
