This is a great 3D Printer by all accounts. It produces excellent quality results straight out of the box so it's suitable for beginners. Also has built in Wifi and a camera so you can remotely control and watch your prints in real time.

Normally sells for around £1300 - £1400 on Amazon. The best other deal I can find is on Box.co.uk for £1295. £999 seems to be the lowest it's ever been!

There are numerous glowing reviews. It was selected as one of the top the printers of 2019:

Wow they're going to have a hard job moving these at this price. Especially when there are so many others on the market, at a much lower price. That essentially do the same thing.
£25 for 500g of proprietary filament you've got to be joking. (RFID enable spools!!)
A built in camera .... c'mon this is just an over-engineered overpriced waste of money (a £4 webcam works just fine for me)
Is it a deal? .... yes based upon the ridiculous RRP but not a recommended purchase.

That's like saying all cars are "essentially the same thing" i.e. they have wheels and engine and get you from point A to point B. However, in reality, the experience driving a top of the range Mercedes compared to say, a Renault Clio is completely different.

All the reviews I have seen (and there are plenty on YouTube) praise the print quality of the Dremel over cheaper models.

That's like Tarring all the cheap 3D printers with the same brush.
Look you spend your money on whatever you want. I'm sure you'll become a professional 3D printer with this.

You don't actually need to use the Dremel filament, it's just there for the convenience factor. One of the big selling points of this printer is it's user friendliness and suitability for people that don't want to spend hours tweaking and modding their machine. I have an Ender 5 and although it does work pretty well, I have a invested fair amount of time and energy getting it to that point (printing out various essential mods for it, getting Cura set up correctly, updating the firmware, etc).

I have an Ender 5, which I picked up for about £250. It works OK, but boy it was real headache to get up and running to a satisfactory level.

Not weird at all, just auto corrected itself. It"s weird you've found it weird.
