Found 4th Jan 2014
Tremendous film that is now free to watch on iPlayer until Friday, 10th January - 11:34PM, to be precise.

Blurb: "Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan star in an action movie about a car driver who works for the Hollywood cinema industry during the day and for criminals at night."

I can feel the heat about to erupt on this one.

use get_iplayer to dl

Abit slow. But liked it. For everyone one person I know who like this there are five more who don't like it.

Soundtrack is good for this film

How is this a deal? If you have a tv licence it's free, assuming you have iplayer, if not you have to pay however much the licence fee is and and watch it????

What other TV listing do you want to tell us about?Sorry to sound … What other TV listing do you want to tell us about?Sorry to sound negative but I just cant see the point in you telling us this.

Celebrity Mastermind is on tonight, Sky news is on too X)

Well, I for one thank you for the heads up OP. I would never have known otherwise. I always thought stuff on iPlayer had already been on TV? I don't recall seeing 'Drive' advertised though?

Must've missed it, I guess.

Bog average film, hyped way too much.

You don't need a tv licence to watch catch up TV

You could apply your poor logic to 99.9% of the rest of the freebie deals on HUKD.

That free game app? That requires a smartphone and tablet and regular payments to get the best from it. And that free track from iTunes? That requires an internet connection and a device. Oh, and what about...

And if that wasn't enough, you don't need a TV licence to view non-live content on iPlayer: iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/hel…nce

You do not need a television licence to catch-up on television programmes … You do not need a television licence to catch-up on television programmes in BBC iPlayer, only when you watch or record at the same time (or virtually the same time) as it is being broadcast or otherwise distributed to the public.

I think I won that argument...

Yeah the last time I checked everything on catchup is "Free on BBC iPlayer".

Really good film and the soundtrack is amazing.

Excellent film. Worth a watch just to see Albert Brookes as a baddie/psycho nutjob. Bryan Cranston really shines too. Cranston on Drive

No wonder its free crap film

Yes umar, that's exactly why the film is free.

Someone please create a deal that informs us that all shows on the BBC iPlayer are free please. Then this one deal has a repost limit of once a month right? So I won't be seeing these crap deals every week each time a show someone likes is made available as it would be covered by the iPlayer post and therefore a dupe and will be deleted.

If you're really kind your post will include details of all the 'free' catchup TV services.

Why don't I see deals on software like utorrent that's offered for free? That would eliminate any need for streaming media posts.

This film was on BBC2 last night (Friday Jan 3rd). Films are available on the iplayer for 7 days after they were broadcast on one of the BBC channels. So I agree with the other posters saying that anything on the iplayer does not need to be put on HUKD - UNLESS it is an iplayer ONLY broadcast NOT available anywhere else.
In the same way there are always free Kindle books - we need a subheading just for those, or just post the link that accesses the free books - so you can see and choose for yourself.
Too many Kindle links.

Eeeeevening all,

I love posts like this where the OP has clearly posted it because for once there is a modern movie, already a bit of a cult hit, and it is free to stream from iPlayer and he want's to wave his hands in the air and shout "hey, this is worth a watch!"

It's listed under freebies, not deals.

Obviously there are plenty of people who don't like the movie which is fine but don't slate the OP for trying to do folk a favour!

Worst film I've watched in a long long time. Stylish? Yes. Storyline? None existent. The first ten mins were great and I was expecting a classic, not so. IMO.

Not sure why this got much more heat than anuvahood! At least that had a story, though I agree, the picture and soundtrack were decent.

Amazing film - word of warning very voilent

Excessively violent......

Great film with a really nice soundtrack.

Pretty damm good film, though I did watch it whilst not having slept for 40 hours ages ago

i thought it was total poop

It's not, that's why it's in freebies, duh

To be fair to the poster, Drive is a bit of a cult classic, so to those who like the film and don't own it, it's a pretty good heads up.

Haters be hatin! Lol I've never used Iplayer before and didn't know you could watch films on it so thanks op! Heat added

I would never have known about this film being on there and therefore would not have watched it if it wasn't for this post. The film was a little slow and boring at times though. Extremely violent also just in case some people don't like violence.

Kavinsky's music made this film stand out for me.

What are people on about!? This film is amazing. Ryan Gosling is class, the soundtrack is incredible and the story/cinematography is right up there for entertainment and style

drive ? more like drivel, awful film but thats only my opinion, good heads up to those who like it

yea crap film i'd give it 5/10

93% on the bible that is rotten tomatoes (a critic concensus website for those unfamiliar). Good enough for me!

Probably one of my favourite films. It's not for everyone but I think it's brilliant. Great soundtrack.

Awesome film one of my favourites - guessing people who don't like it were expecting some sort of Fast and Furious replica (personally glad it wasn't.)

Own it on blu ray but heat added for those people who don't own it.

looked like good

You only need a licence to watch live TV. If you are not watching it live then you an watch it with no licence legally.

The OP`S a Real Human Being and a Real Hero lol
