Yep, quite a lot of free dlc as well thanks to the launch probs.

So, wait.... If I purchase this upgrade, will it let me download Driveclub immediately? Or will I have to wait until they actually make the PSN plus version available?

Im slightly confused so please allow for my ignorance, is this the full game of driveclub for £19.99 or am I missing something? Getting confused with the upgrade bit...

No you can download the full game straight away. This is the same as what they were offering to all PS+ subscribers for £34.99 from launch.

Full game mate, yes. Don't worry, it's probably my fault for how I've worded it. I'll update the OP now.

I'm in the camp where it'll never come out for plus so why not for 20 quid

does this mean you need PS plus subscription to play it at all times, similar to PS plus games you get with it?

No, once it's purchased then it's yours for life. Only the free games expire.

no as listed you only need PS plus to download it after that its yours to keep, PS plus or not.

I haven't played it but some people have said it's great in other threads on this forum. I'm tempted to go for this deal myself but I don't know when they are intending to offer that 10% off voucher that they promised.

Can pick the disc version of this up for the same price now - GAME had it for £20, and Tesco for £25 at the weekend.

For those that prefer to actually own something

That's my thoughts. It's definitely tempting at this price, for the fact that it's instant and you don't need to get up to put the disc in, but I usually trade games after a while as I'll never play them again.

With the cheap top up deals that show up on here all the time though, I very much doubt many people on this forum will actually be paying the full £20 for it.

You will still need PlayStation Plus membership to play online though, correct?
I'm tempted, which is madness. The PlayStation Plus edition was supposed to be designed to tempt us into buying the full version, not the delay in providing it! oO

really good game.

I like to 'own something', and I collect, so I tend to go for the disc versions when I can, that being said - I did succumb to the Battelfield + Premium for £20 on PSN over the January sales - That was way to good a deal to miss out on!

Fair enough - Just when I saw this, I was reminded of the prices I saw at the weekend is all and thought I'd shout up for those considering who might prefer the disc

This thread suggests that PS+ will be free for everyone this weekend. I'm not sure if that will include the exclusive discounts though as it might just mean for online play.

Where's our 10% off code Sony!?

I think the PS+ edition is cancelled and they will offer the full game on PS+ in April or something, wouldn't make sense to do the PS+ edition now with these kind of prices unless the full game upgrade is sold for £5 or something

Please be aware, if you own the disc version and change to the digital version, yournsaved game progress wont carry. Digital and Disc versions of the same game count as different titles and have a unique game id, so the save game wont carry. I learnt this afte i bought the 'ast of us digital.

I hesistated buying this after the launch problems but since its been patched I'm loving it. Similar to PGR in racing style and car choices albeit you race in fantasy locations. Had some decent online play too.

Had this since launch and yes it had major problems but it's been my go to game for some time now. There's been afew ai tweaks, the penalty system adjusted, photomode and weather added as well as a hefty chunk of free DLC including cars, tracks, liveries and extra Tour events since launch. Online has been stable for a while now and is pretty addictive. Challenges can be intense too trying to beat another Clubs time by fine margins.

The sound is probably some of the best engine/exhaust notes ive heard in a game, the Zonda is phenomenal.

Looking forward to future updates especially for online private matches. For anyone on the fence and who was unsure after its rocky start, I have no problems recommending Driveclub now.

Can't find details for this instance but last time (September 2014) it was online play only

Has anyone bought this specific deal after op posted? I trust that it is correct but some evidence showing the full game becoming available for free would help before spending £20

Why April?

Great deal and a great game, have to say I feel a bit miffed though having bought this version at launch for £34.99, seems to have gone down fast. Would be much fairer IMHO if they offered some kind of incentive to those who shelled out for it at launch like say 50% off the season pass, would ultimately make them more money too while keeping those that already have it and those yet to buy it happy...

Why April?

Just a random guess lol, I have no evidence whatsoever for this opinion but I just think Sony would be better giving it as a PS+ freebie which would 1) Repair the damage to their reputation that Driveclub has done 2) Offer new PS4 owners a reason to sign up to PS+ and 3) Give them a chance to make a bit of money on the game since there would be a whole new audience to start buying the DLC

Is that what that is? I bought TLoU again in December but I bought a US digital code so I thought it was a regional problem because it doesn't give me the New Game + option when I start the game. My online profile for the multiplayer carried over just fine though.

To be fair, Ubisoft did that for people who bought the Unity Season Pass and I thought it set a good precedent that hopefully others will follow when they release broken products.

Free DLC to go with it.
