Good deal although I need LS Pro

I know. I`ve bought them separate, but maybe is useful for someone. Just thought i`ll mention that as well. the main buy is the 5L.
Are their products good? I've seen they do discs and pads.......worth a punt?
Old spec' oil. OK for old Ford's. Check out oil ratings here oilspecifications.org/api…php
Personally I would say this is still overpriced.

don`t know about their discs and pads but the oil is fully synthetic so i`ll give it a go. on the website the original price ( so they say) is £37.69.
Consider the cheap supermarket oil is more expensive than this.

i`ve checked all day yesterday. couldnt find any cheaper oil in any stores.( local stores)
and this is the cheapest fully s. online with free delivery( over£25) or c&c
Total inc VAT£209.97

For 6 litres oil, 5 spark plugs, cabin filter, oil filter, air filter, front pads, rear pads, front discs, rear discs. I have no idea if that is a good price or not haha I mean 60% off but is the RRP inflated?

Doesn't matter, its A5/B5 which is bang up to date.

Anything that recommends A5/B5 will be fine with this.

Just for the record, there's absolutely nothing wrong (& a lot right!) with API SL oils.

I ran several oil development programs where SL was one of the spec luggage labels & a decade on, many of those oils are still being sold worldwide.

The real-life impact of incremental oil spec changes can sometimes be marginal at best. However the bump up in oil quality from API SJ to SL was HUGE. Don't knock it!
Good luck with your engine sludge...

There's no such thing in this day and age (unless you run an oil out past 25,000 miles maybe)...

Can I ask what exactly you do for a living? I only ask as before I decided to retire, I was a professional oil formulator doing the equivalent of roughly a billion litres of PCMO & HDDO worldwide. I am curious to know how your knowledge of oil is superior to mine?

As I expected. You've got no game. Just plain old fashioned pig ignorance.

It's not the age of the oil just bit dated specs. It should be fine in most modern engines as long as you stick to the regular oil change regime...

Ask yourself the question, what day-to-day PC tasks can you do today with Windows 10, that you couldn't do ten years ago with Windows Vista or even 25 years ago with Windows 95? Write a letter? Knock up a spreadsheet? Look at the internet maybe? In this regard, not a lot had actually changed over time..

The same logic sort of applies to engine oils. Despite the constant 'jobs for the boys' rewriting of the specs, the basic functionality of oil hasn't actually changed that much (although they do last much longer than they once did!).

Whilst you could, if you wanted to, argue that some oils are technically better than others, the reality is that today, it's virtually impossible to buy a truly bad engine oil in the UK. I haven't come across DriveTec before but if it conforms to SL/CF/A5/B5 & they haven't lied about it being a full synthetic, then in my book, it's a bloody good oil!
