48GB on Dropbox when you connect dropbox with Samsung Galaxy Mobile. Only for 24 months but well worth so you don't pay!

It's only for new phones and has been on 'offer' for ages I have this for my then new note 3

Signed in with my Galaxy S2 via the app. Don't see anyway of getting the extra memory?

Thanks, maybe the original OP needs to be more specific on the deal.

they started it with the Galaxy S3 - mine ran out a week ago. Suddenly had to delete 23GB because I didnt want to pay $100 a year for the service.

Pretty useless really, i got this offer when i bought my note 2, automatically synced all my camera photos but then when it ran out i had to delete them all or pay for dropbox

Never mind, got a email after my message ha ha Sorry

is it once per account? Got this a couple years ago and its now expired. If I have a new galaxy phone, it won't give me another 2 years free?

Yeah it's an interesting 'offer', I'm sure the last time I saw this 'offer' it was in Freebies.....I wonder why?

FYI you don't have to delete anything, it just won't sync anymore until you are under your limit

I though your storage allowance remained after the expiry date however you loose the ability to auto sync. ie.. If you upload photo to Dropbox it won't auto download to a folder on your other devices like the pc... so what. Find someone with the Dropbox app that came pre installed on phone or tablet and sign into your account to get the free upgrade. I think you can sign in then out to multiple accounts on a single device to boost all the Dropbox accounts. Also take a look at own cloud or BitTorrent sync as some are switching from Dropbox for free alternatives hosted buy themselves. Easy to set up so watch youtube how to. Flickr gives a free 1tb storage which is massive and I bought the auto andriod upload app as that works for me locked down to private viewing me only. Others can confirm if I'm right about Dropbox..

when i say "delete" I actually mean move off my sync from the 48GB dropbox to my own 48TB NAS. Just easier to say delete!

I think what's being said us the files stay there at no charge, you just can't add or modify them, so no need to remove them from drop box

Damn, would be lovely if it worked on my Nexus 4. I can't afford a new phone and extra storage would be perfect for University this year! No worries though, hopefully there will be other promotions

Guys. Bin Dropbox for pics and use flickr. 1tb for pics so no need for Dropbox as I use mega as you get 50 gigs free for other stuff. Dropbox is a joke now.

Good offer. I've had it for just over a year. I don't understand people's need to say it's a bad deal because they don't need it, found something else that they like better, or are upset because they actually have to pay for the service after two years...

I just bought another Samsung, but sadly the offer does not get renewed or extended.

Im sure I did this ages ago for the HTC Sense 4 25GB offer by changing the model number in build.prop on my old Desire HD.

Have to be rooted of course.

Ive a Nexus 4 as well at the moment so will have to see if I can do it again for the Samsung Offer.

:edit: Found out my old Desire HD, flashed to the latest CM and followed the instructions here at XDA and 48gb popped nicely into my Dropbox

As long as the build.prop details are correct and the files are in the right place and with the right permissions then their shouldnt be a problem using other devices to do it.

And to note, I received this after also using the HTC promotion a while back so it does stack.
