Bought the TIE fighter model, spent a couple of hours putting it together, threw it straight in the bin
Love these, if you have the patience they look great completed. The Golden Snitch was the best of the 10 we got through at Christmas

I got an R2-D2 one for Christmas. It almost broke me, but I completed it. The quality is nice when you finish, but they're quite fiendish in places. Needle-nose pliers are a must-have accompaniment.

Not sure I'd recommend them for children, though; I managed to slice a few chunks out of myself making it, some of the edges can be a bit sharp.

You have to be logged in to use it and you can only buy 1 of each design (i.e. 1 drum kit and 1 eiffel tower) at a time to get them at that price. If you want another one you can use the code again to place a separate order after

It's working now, all it did before was remove the main pages 40% discount and didn't apply anything else....

Any idea which ones it works on? Except for the drums and Eiffel tower, I can't find others it applies to...?

They're from this page, they have a bunch of different stuff that periodically changes with codes that make everything listed there under one dollar. It's worth keeping an eye on it. There is one other metal model on that page at the moment of a praying mantis that uses a different code.
I didn't order this but did go for a BB8 and R2D2 thankyou

The gearbest ones aren't up to the same quality as the branded ones in the UK, I've had both.
Landfill.
They are very fiddly, but much easier to make if you have some small pliers to bend the pieces when necessary.
Made of lead (or other carcinogenic materials).......?

Made a few of these now. Quality is spot on, despite what the pessimists on here would lead to you to believe.

If you enjoy puzzles, making models, and/or small scale precision work, these can be very enjoyable. They can also be incredibly time consuming and require patience, especially for the more complex models, but they look great if you put the effort in. I appreciate they ain't going to be for everyone, but I wouldn't let the comments here detract you!

Yes clearly that's the case because
1 - Lead is such a famously shiny material that would work well as a thin sheet of metal with small loops that you close together what with it being so soft and malliable
2 - Steel is so impossibly expensive a cheap model made of a thin sheet of it couldn't possibly be a thing
