Its an app or just type aliexpress in to your web browser and search in there it's not letting me grab a direct link on my phone to the items . But a search on there will soon find it. I buy loads of stuff of there including big lepin (lego) builds

I am not able to find any cheaper on there website, few pence saving for 3-4 weeks late delivery is not really worth it though
**considerably cheap
Greta deal just ordered one being delivered tomorrow
I recently started using one of these when on holiday outdoor swimming good for a bit of piece of mind. I would not swim open lakes without now. Get a cramp in your leg or worse can quickly get into trouble

Wouldn't you be better off with a proper buoyancy aid?

What I mean is, we've all used a chair to stand on to reach something but if you're going to do it regularly wouldn't a proper step ladder be better?

If you get into trouble yes you would. But you would not choose to do a fitness swim of say a mile across a medium sized lake in a life jacket. People that use these are strong swimmers that can swim the distance but realise one time in a hundred might get a cramp or worse. These you clip around your waist they float behind create very little resistance and if you get into trouble and have to hold onto pop up in the water are bright and easily spotted. These are also easier seen by motor boats or a jetski which you don't want to be hit by. (simply because they float on top of the water) a jacket will just leave your head exposed. Any waves you can be hard to spot.

They serve different purpose really and this also allows me to take my phone a small towel and some flip flops for the other end of the swim.

Open water swimmers should know the risks. These help give my family a bit of peace of mind.

Am the same logically I realise does not matter much once I can't touch the bottom, what matters to me more is how far I am from being able to rest get out. I will sometimes take a longer route to stay nearer the land. I don't try and push my limits that I would do in a pool. If am getting close to exhaustion will let lifeguard know so can keep a closer eye on me.

Thanks kind off work as a lifeguard too so guess I realise the risk. But risk is part of life and the biggest risk is often doing to little exercise. I have to keep my swimming up as am getting older and swimming lengths in pools can get repetitive. So a holiday swim somewhere hot is lovely. These are not for white water either. I also like to put a Bluetooth speaker in too can listen to music. But expect that's a little unusual. Anyway don't push it. You can't count on others to rescue. Many people think yes I can swim a mile do that in pool all the time. But this is likely colder water there's no hanging on to the ends for a brief break or to catch your breath or if a wave catches you in the face so you swallow water. You soon get a feel of it and its a joy.
