Please note : To be able to use the LONDON50 voucher, your basket must come to over £50.
I could not find anything for less than 21p in stock for delivery
(update thanks to bladflyer) cheapest item to add on appears to be 14p but this allows for the basket to exceed £50 and for the code to work.

I believe this dual action polisher is the same one that is sold by Halfords and Argos, just with a different shell on it. I recall the Argos one being £40 a couple of weeks ago but delivery at 3.95 means this is cheaper unless you collected from Argos (in which case I'm sure 12p must have gone in fuel or calories :D)

I really hope this helps someone out who missed the Argos one

**Note**

The Toolstation site and the box it comes in states it has an 8mm spindle, but that's incorrect as its a 5/16ths.

Got it on argos one like decent starter had to mission to Alnwick for it …Got it on argos one like decent starter had to mission to Alnwick for it like

I'm a geordie so understand the premise of this and will translate for all you southerners. "I got one from Argos, it's a decent starter model but I had to travel all the way to Alnwick for it."

And in English??
Good deal but none in stock near me.
Whats the difference between this and a DAS6 for example?

DAS6 is a bit more powerful (650w IIRC) and comes with a smaller 5" backing plate. The smaller backing plate is likely to fit more pads as most are 5" or 6" not 7" like this one.
It's easier to fit a 6" pad to a 5" plate but you couldn't fit a 5 or 6" pad to a 7" plate.

If it were me I'd avoid this and go for a 5" DA. I've had a Kestrel for 12 ish years and it's still going strong. If you factor in a 5" plate on top of this for £15 or £20 then it isn't far off a DAS6 anyway.
Looks the same as the Guild one from Argos. Get a decent soft backing plate and some chemical guys hexlogic pads, some polish/compound, watch some YouTube videos on detailing & you’re all set.
Did a decent job on my Model 3 with Poorboys SSR1, Tesla paint work is abysmal.
Ive been looking for one of these, My Robin Reliant needs a good Polish

600w can bog down when you give a bit of pressure. 900w versions are worth the extra £ in my humble opinion

Thanks as noticed the stuff off cleanmycar are double the price £100ish
bought the Guild one from Argos for £40 a while back and looks the same as this but rebranded. Bought 4inch backing plate from Ebay for few quid and used my old pads from my Autosmart smart tool (Just bought a Flexi pad pro detail but not tried yet) . The machine is good for the price It removed swirls and light scratches from my car no problem just depends what kind of finish you want and your budget. Oh and a good compound helps
Always fancied a DA car polisher but the fear or wrecking the paintwork through my own ignorance/inexperience puts me off, visions of buffing off a mark only to find its the base metal coming through thats my excuse for not ironing too
Code doesn’t work for me?
Does this only work in London postcode?
Does anyone know if these polishing machines sound a bit rough like a dry sound. Maybe it's supposed to sound like that.
