reviews are on about something else though like a mp3 player or something ?

Amazon reviews don't seem to correspond to this product?

Yeah does look interesting...the thing is how is it powered?

These are poo.

Only 1 for sale from a seller.

its got a very interesting spec, however if you could get rid of android, stick a linux distro of sbmc, then i think you would have an amazing xbmc stick. currently no media player plays 1080p mkv's well on a dual core with android.

I think it must be this one...

This is very good deal for £30 the model name is UG802

Id be wary of the CGI image rather than actual product!

Yes looks like it might come with a plug in power supply..these little things are interesting..

I Own 2 of these*, they're running small servers which would normally cost £40 a month, with 1gb ram, using a vnc server with a modified version of Ubuntu running on it.

When i say 'these' i mean a product just like it, cost me $74 each

Interesting!

How to connect microphone for skype ?

Has anyone ordered one? I'm tempted. Would this run iplayer, netflix, itv player etc? As its cheaper than an xbox live account?

I'd like to know too.

Sod it I've took the risk. I'll report back lol

Seems interesting for iplayer TVcatchup etc. Might have a go at £30

I almost ordered a similar device from an Amazon until I read the reviews. Ordered instead an MK808 which has an extra 4gb of RAM, runs at 1.6ghz and has fixed the WiFi problems.

No UK sellers that I could find so I ordered from Lightake.

£43 all in.

If you can get this running on it, then it's a good price:

xbmc.org/the…id/

Shame it's not got an ethernet port on it for streaming high bitrate HD stuff. A Raspberry Pi may be better than this.

I'd like to know too.

Spec-wise it can on paper but ultimately it's a suck it and see situation. They're selling happily on eBay for over £30 so worst case getting the money back shouldn't be a massive problem.

It would be neat if the USB on the back of my PC could power this

MK808 runs at 1.2 too, I believe - same speed as this deal

Essentially a mystery product. The prudent approach would be to let a few early adopters splash the cash, then find out what it does, does it work etc....

I bought the MK802 II a few weeks ago and use it to run plex and xbmc from my non smart tv and it works great. If you have an android phone you can run the droidmote client from it and install the server on this device and use the phone to control it. Works great.

Can I use USB HUB with this android dongle ?

For the price these look revolutionary.....

Krooner

It can.

So I could plug this into the usb on my tv to power it, then hdmi back into the tv to watch it? I want a cheap xbmc solution, although the the pii may be better due to wired lan.
