Bought one of these last time they were discounted at Argos around Christmas time:santa:
I took it back after a couple of weeks spent trying to get the picture to display correctly. It would not display widescreen correctly. It would strech the 4:3 to fit the screen so the the picture appeared correct i.e the caracters on screen were not streched etc. The problem was that it cropped the image so that the sides were missing. There is a zoom mode in most flat TVs and this is what it was emulating. It just did not have the correct mode to disply 16.9. There was no help line to call (in fact this is what helped me return the TV as the manager did not believe me).
Most people would not notice tihs but I set it up in front of my main TV and I could clearly see what's missing. Anyone else notice this problem?

not bad i guess.

I think it's a good deal because it has reasonable viewing angle contrast and general specs. And if you are not always blinded by the cheapest price (which isn't always the best deal) this is a good package. Argos is easy to get, very good with returns and very good with the guarantee (swop or refund for the the first 12 months), so no wait for services or expenses for sending an item back should a fault develop. Hot from me.

I bought this last time, spot on in the bedroom not sure as a main telly though.

Take a look at the site Reevoo where there is a good selection of teles which have been reviewed. I too am looking to buy a 19" LCD and after looking on Reevoo I have my eye on the white Philips, cheapest price is empiredirect, through Quidco too.
Hope this helps.
