We were only meant to get 30% during the easter weekend but they seemed to have forgot to revert it back to 20%

I’ll put a stop to that tomorrow thank you very much.

Thanks for posting great price for wattage so ordered
Cheers. Been waiting for one that was more than the usual 150w.

Anyone know if these are standard sized wheels that can be easily replaced or added to?

Way too low on power. Money down the drain for most jobs.

Yeah, a wheel for polishing and a wire one would be useful.

Just set up. Great kit for the cash.
Sharp deal this 🔥
I've always wanted to grind my bench, but isn't it a little awkward, lifting it and offering it to the wheels at the right angle
Bought and set up. Sharpened my grass shears no problem. Useful for light/medium jobs - motor casing did get hot though!
Hopefully still around Monday to use a pals staff discount

Thanks, bought one for polishing metal.

For £15 you can't go far wrong. I've wanted a bench grinder for a while, to sharpen my budget chisels.
I've ordered for C&C. Just need to make sure I collect tomorrow as they only retain for 24 hours.
I think I want this. Not sure what it Grindes.
wickes is terrible i have used reserve and collect about 8 times and every time but one they don't have the item/s or they cant find it, total waste of effort most of the time. and the one time they did have what I ordered in stock it was 6 years ago.

agreed , even when they are made aware of zero stock they do not adjust the level.

I emailed a complaint to HO last time , standard excuse reply + £15 voucher ,
Picked up yesterday. Thanks op
The slowing down comment ! i have a 1/2 horse one, which equates to 368 watt is a heavy duty Sip and it slows down if you hit it too hard ! too dangerous if they dont, That one will do the diy guy fine

Might vary by manufacturer, I've got a 240W model and I'd have to put a fair bit of pressure to get the wheels to slow down. These are induction motors I believe so not a lot of torque but if the wheels are well balanced and the unit is reasonably efficient it should be ok. Also if the wheels are in a poor state and need dressing that could add additional friction but the reviews of this unit all seem positive and I'm sure it will suit most people's needs without issues. I honestly don't think 400W is the minimum requirement for a good bench grinder even though it may be worth the upgrade for some, I guess to a degree it depends on what you are doing with the grinder though.
These are great, although I turn it on in the morning, then wait until afternoon till it's got up to speed.
I have a 1/2 hp (373W) and I'd think 250W would be fine for sharpening lawnmower blades, spades etc. It's the 150W models which are useless for DIY stuff are more suited to craft work. You do always need to be sure of applying the right amount of pressure - if the motor is struggling then back off.
Got one, thank you for posting
Thanks OP, ordered
