These are lovely objects, and they make toast too. Obviously a high end item that you don't often see discounted.

This is actually really good for the price. I live in a poor neighbourhood and I am known as The Toastman. The postman had a little beef with me because he felt that the nickname was too close to his but my neighbours pitbull solved that situation. The new postman has no issues.

Anyway I purchased one of these back in January for £154.99 and have been charging people 10p per slice (they supply their own bread). I get around 30 customers a day averaging 2 slices and made my money back within the first month. I am hoping to buy a new house soon in another area to expand the business so this deal could not have came at a better time.

Thank you Richard.

Prefer the architect range which has been on offer over BF

We have a Dualit at work and to be fair it’s broken more time than its working. Not this model but one that does 6 slices

Had a dualit milk frother. Was rubbish and felt like poor quality Chinese tat.

I have a 6 slicer at my cafe and its been there for about 14 years and touch wood (say no more)

Had one of these for about 10 years. Used everyday and never had a problem with it.

I have a 6 slice one. That's only for hardcore toast people like me though.

You should probably get this 4 slice one.

140 quid for a toaster will it cook a full English

I see you've taken on Gonch's Toast Bar from Grange Hill.

I've had this model for 16 years. Yes, I've had to change 1 element and the mechanical timer once, but was really simple to do, which is what I like about these. Makes great toast, toasties etc. Worth getting a couple of the cages.

Had mine for 21 years. Bought it after seeing one in our student halls of residence that served years of abuse and was still going strong. Still hand built in Crawley. Buy British, you wont regret it, it will last a lifetime.

I have 6 slice version of this. It is brilliant and will last a lifetime.

These toasters are amazing, each part can be fixed or replaced so they last years. And they have the name of the assembler on the base!

Same here, the problem is that there is no current restrictions on the elements, so if one goes, the extra current is shoved through the survivors, making them go pop in quick succession.

There is also inadequate insulation between the slots, so the centre slot toast burns, while the outside of the outer two slots is underdone.

TERRIBLE design, VASTLY over priced POS; I gave up and went back to using the grill at work; at least the toast was evenly toasted, even if it did take a little longer.

Also had 2 6 slicer ones at my work, total rubbish-lasted about a month each.

Good price for these (expensive), but quality design icons. Have had the two slice version for about 10years. Simple, no gimmicks, classic. Tempted by this, but nothing wrong with the one I have.

You should set up a franchise

My family were going through about one toaster a year. I bought one of these 15 years ago, and it's still going strong. I paid more than £138 for mine, so this seems like a really good buy.

There was a programme on a while ago rating toaster's, this Dualit won on build quality, but was the worst for actually toasting bread, it didn't toast the bread evenly, so a great toaster to have in your kitchen to show off and that will last for many years, but if you want your toast to brown evenly all over, the £45 version from swann is the one to get.

Got one of these 18 years ago for our 1st wedding anniversary & its still going strong.

Weird thing is although I've had it 18 years it somehow feels much, much, much longer.

Im looking forward to the day i earn enough money to buy a toaster for £140
