Come on you benighted plebs, lovely things cost more. It's £170 on Amazon.

Spot on. Unfortunately the vast majority on here would rather chase a packet of crisps reduced to 2p in Tesco Skegness.

What flavour
Not sure why this is cold, its about the best price about for these items now
why is this name so expensive?
It may be the cheapest for that model but you can't deny that £130 to boil water and heat up your toast is a lot of money. You can get equally good toaster and kettle for much less. Besides the looks, there's nothing special or unique about it. For that price I expect to have a temperature control.

Generally wild goose.

Thanks, I'll pass on the 180 mile round trip. Now if it was cheese and chive flavour, ummm!!!!!!!!!

Better quality = costs more = lasts longer. And generally looks better too.

You hit the nail on the head. Design adds a premium to the price as well as Dualit’s reputation for decent build quality.
My toaster can make fried, boiled and poached eggs and heat up beans. And it only cost £30.
Paid 200+ for the full chrome couple month back. Looks the part. Many compliments. Dont even drink tea or eat toast better find a girlfriend who does get sum use

How sure are you that this is better than a set half the price? Just because it's expensive? Well if you look at the most unreliable cars of 2017, most on the list are cars over £50,000. More does not always mean better quality. Don't be a sheep
Voted hot, best price for these items.. always annoying people voting cold simply because they wouldn’t pay that much for s kettle and toaster.

It’s a deals website, and unless you can get these cheaper somewhere else, it’s a hot deal.

You must have way too much money, and you dont even use it
Not everything that is expensive is worth it.......but anything Dualit is. Lovely quality products. Great find. Shame I want the classic toaster.
Spent more individually on my Magimix Toaster and Kettle (£150 each)... the toaster is fantastic and going strong, the kettle developed a leak at about 2 years old. I got a Dualit to replace it, and the quality of materials is terrible, but the thing is working and going strong 4 years on.

Dualit for materials and quality is not worth the money they charge, but for longevity, it is. Compromise I guess.

Because they made great industrial strength toasters, sadly this deal isn't one of them, just a Chinese made mock-up of the original and highly regarded original. If you want to spend lots on a toaster, buy the original UK made one.

I'm an architect. Nothing architectural about these products, at least from there appearance Buy the originals. Much better investment, functionally and aesthetically.
I just bought a set from costco. It too slows to boil water and very noisy compare to my breville set. I think I am going to return this. Can I return this set if I already opened and used once?

People obviously prefer to get obese stuffing their faces with chocolate during and after Xmas, then buy a load more in January thinking that they're getting a good deal.
My kettle & toaster are switched on from my bed just as I get up.

So toast & boiling water when I reach the kitchen (care of £20 remote plug)

The price is a racket as cheaper ones do the job as well & from experience it's always been more expensive ones that leaked or rusted.

Currently have matching Bosch ones, & the LED failed on the kettle within a year, & the toaster has a lip that catches toast as it pops up & often detaches the corner.

They were bought to replace a supermarket one bought in the middle of the night on the evening we moved in & is still going strong for remotely boiling corn on the cob for breakfast.

Add to this it would worry me far less bouncing the supermarket one off the floor.
