Seems like a good price for a PS4 controller. Hope it helps someone out.

Buy a used controller from some some scrub who munches on some salt n vinegar walkers while spectating his buddies because he’s dead on fortnite? No thank you.
A used controller.. No chance. Pay the tenner extra for gods sake

Instant buy. Been waiting for a controller at somewhere around this price.

The quality of PS4 controllers is so bad I'm not sure I'd take the risk on buying one and it breaking a short time later. New ones aren't that much more.

They're not too bad. The original Xbox controllers were worse. The S controller is great though

Never had any problems with my Xbox controllers, been through a couple of PS4 ones since launch though. Sony's quality control just isn't that good, it's not limited to just their controllers, quite a few Playstation related hardware have problems this gen which is annoying. Personally there's no way I'd chance buying a preowned controller, I could easily trade in my broken ones right now that would work ok to do a quick test but as soon as you used them for a few hours you'd notice thumbstick problems.

They're pretty poor. I've got 3 and they all developed a different problem. The first was a launch controller so the rubber came off the sticks, the second had a dodgy square button and the third has a dodgy home button.

Wouldn't touch a second hand one.

I've both PS4 and X1 since day one. I've had 1 broken left trigger on PS4 controller (replaced under warranty) and 5 broken X1 controllers with a left thumb stick fault on the original X1 controllers. Common fault for people who heavy on the sticks. They changed the thumb stick assembly from plastic to copper on the S controller because of the amount of complaints from people like myself, who went through a new X1 controller every 3 to 9 weeks! I agree about the rubber on the PS4 thumb sticks though, this was, and still is a common problem
They stopped using the original launch rubber sticks on the PS4 so at least they fixed that problem, the thumbstick mechanism itself is what isn't the best quality especially for anyone who uses the controller on a regular basis. I don't doubt people also have problems with the Xbox controllers either, that's why I would never touch a preowned controller this gen from any of the console manufacturers, chances are someone has traded it in for a good reason.
You want me to pay £24.99 for a controller embedded with some other bloke's dead skin cells and germs?
Haha no.
Whilst I wouldn't buy a second hand one myself, the one and only I have has been faultless since day one. Same with my ps4 headphones and ps4 itself. Guess I've been lucky
sometimes theres a big price difference for used and new such as buying cars or phones
but when theres only a small difference just buy a damn new one lol

I have a controller that I've used for may be 2 years and I think it's not holding charge as it used to. I wouldn't risk buying second hand just coz of that.
Yuk!!!.....I'd be buying a box of latex gloves to wear when I'm using it lol
PS4 (official) pads are the best I've ever used. Large and precise.
Like they've finally realised that adults play Sony games consoles.
