Duck feather and down Duvet - Double - £16.50 Sainsburys
Found this in store at Sainsburys Hendon. There were quite a few there and have been reduced several times. I think it was originally £59.99 if I'm not mistaken.
Hope this helps anyone looking for a good cheap snug duvet!

More feathers than dawn?

@oxygene In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, come again?

Just checked it's 85% duck feather, 15% duck down

Bought one. Nice thick pure cotton cover and really lovely and warm. Bargain at this price.

Heat added, on my way to pick up now. Thanks op :-)

I think i got the same in the Edgware store last week, so probably national, came in a rather handy purple / clear zip up bag, ideal for storage / laundry.

Birds get their feathers torn whilst alive suffering pain and bleeding, this cruelty is roughly reapeated again after the feathers regrow until its slaugtered. It takes 4 birds to fill one pillow all so you can have a nice pillow. You could not handle being plucked alive so please buy alternatives.

Any king size? Price? Thanks.

I'm looking for one with wild goose feathers, if anyone sees one?oO

King size was £18.50 in my local.

cheers OP! bought myself some reduced 400 thread count pillows while I was there...
Tonights forecast: sleeping like a baby

Felt sorry for the ducks, so got myself a nice bearskin instead. Now I am lovely and warm!

Are the slaughterd ducks in Sainsburys too? I didn't see any on offer!

Is this the sainsbury local near hendon central tube station?

10.5 isn't very good - 13 tog would be a real winter duvet.

True but good for all seasons and slept like a baby without the need for an extra throw. I had a 13.5 tog duvet before and always need a throw to keep me warm

I got this at Sainsbury's, Unit 4, Hyde Estate Road, London NW9 6JX it looks kind of close to the station. Check on google maps. Duvet is toasty!!!

Had these in kimberley store in nottingham as well

What alternative would you suggest? I agree there's better alternatives to feather/down for a pillow but you can't beat down for a duvet. I'd go for one with more down and less feathers though.

I bought a wool one

How about wool? I purchased one from baavet and should arrive in a couple of days. Apparently it should keep you warm and cool. My 13.5 tog goose feather and down wasn't warm enough for this winter as my room is very cold.

They don't get plucked alive you gimp, it's a by-product of the meat industry. Not using them would be a waste. I don't know where you get off propagating these lies that they are alive, what advantage would that bring? It would be ten times harder to pluck a live duck for a start.

Loads in St Albans!

I picked up the King size for only £18..Bargain

Dunstable have a few doubles left.

I'm afraid I've taken the last king size. I showed my mum and she and both my sisters have put in an order so I've reserved them at my local. Thanks op! Sainsbury's have done well out of me this weekend!

Not one in my local store - Redditch :-(
