£3.99 at Play (with Quidco would bring it marginally cheaper than this) price varies between £3-£5 most places. This is a classic and even my 9 year old son loves to watch it.
This is the TV movie that put Steven Spielberg on the map, shortly before he made The Sugarland Express. Working from a script by Richard Matheson, the film stars Dennis Weaver as a mild-mannered traveling salesman who unintentionally angers the driver of a semi truck. Suddenly, the truck is not only riding his tail but trying to run him off the road. No matter what he does (pulling over, stopping at a diner, calling the cops), he can't get rid of it. Spielberg makes the wise decision of never showing the driver, even as he cranks the voltage on the film's suspense elements. As a result, the truck itself takes on an air of satanic menace--even a personality of sorts--as it seems to hunt its human prey. Spielberg made a lot out of a little, suggesting just how skilled a storyteller he would become. --Marshall Fine

Mine too Borat , my dad has always been a trucker and we used to love watching this together . Classic Spielberg , think it may have been his first ever film .

Was his first proper one anyhow, was originally made for TV I believe.

Loved it as a kid also, bought this a while back, glad to have it in my collection for old time's sake

Cracking film.
Should be in anyones collection.

The extra features on this film are particularly good if you have an interest in Spielberg or film directing in general.

Remember watching this with my dad in the 70's. We used to love Dennis Weaver in Macleod too, i'd love to see a repeat of that show, ah, memories.....

6p cheaper @ www.base.com/DVD/Duel/8224686/product.htm

That's 6 fizzy cola bottles in anyone's money.

this film was on loads in 80s and 90s and somehow managed to scare the crap out of me. must be something to do with not being able to get away, like a nightmare.

Brilliant movie, though I hear they plan on remaking it >.

Had this on video when I was younger and never got it - used to make me laugh at how stupid it was more than anything else!!

May be the cheapest price but £4 for a DVD seems dear to me these days....

Or £3.97 at Tesco Entertainment, plus 15% off with code FTSL15-1, and 8% at TCB, plus clubcard points!

Good deal. Thank you
