Nope, he's a middle aged travelling electronics salesman with a moustache and some cool 70s shades.

Superb film. If you haven't seen it yet, then what are you wating for? Buy it!

H&R given.

The extra features on this disk are very interesting. Worth the price of admission on their own almost.

Some interesting Duel facts...

* In 1971, Steven Spielberg's secretary suggested the story to him after reading it in Playboy magazine.

* Although Steven Spielberg wanted Dennis Weaver from the beginning, Weaver actually wasn't signed until the evening before shooting was to begin.

* Steven Spielberg was shown seven different semi-trucks to choose from; he chose a Peterbilt because the cab resembled a face.

* Steven Spielberg says that the most frightening aspect of the story was that truck driver was never seen.

* Since filming only took about twelve days, it remains Steven Spielberg's personal benchmark for how quickly he can shoot a film. All of it was shot on location.

And it's supposedly based on true events that happened to the writer, Richard Matheson (of I Am Legend fame) when driving back from a golf game.
