This app allows you to plug your iPhone/iPad into your Mac or PC and use it as a 2nd display. It's had great reviews, I've been wanting it for a while, but at £12 it needed justification. Now it's in impulse territory. Hope this is some use for somebody.

anyone used this? I've been using a USB Monitor as my second display for awhile now but would love a third for while I'm editing images.
What cable do I need to connect my laptop/Surface Pro to my ipad - just a USB-lightning cable?

I'm downloading it now, won't be editing images, but I'll be able to let you know shortly how it performs...
Cheers pedd, for 5.99 it looks like a good deal
I want this, but can't think of anything I'd want to use it for.
I use Splashtop X Display to do the same thing and it's only £1.49.
Also on offer at the moment is Astropad, which is especially good if you're doing image editing in Photoshop and the like...

Just installed. Very impressed.
Although DVS_Dee has found something much cheaper that may be just as good.

ooh! That's a great price. I've made my choice, but that is worth a post of its own!
This is the only one to have. I've bought other cheap ones which do work but are very heavy on my iMac processor. Duet hardly uses any resources.
Is DualDisplay any good? It's 79p. Just wondering about usage on the MacBook etc? Thanks

Never tried it. Got to be worth a punt at 79p though! Maybe try it now and then at least if it's no good you can move on their of Splashtop X while they're on sale?
It seems to work ok!!! A bit slow dragging stuff over to the iPad and the mouse isn't exactly smooth, ie drag it and it moves a little bit behind, not a lot but enough to notice, trouble is I don't have anything to compare it to, all I do know is it's not like an extended desktop onto another monitor!!

Sorry, my reply is above, how fluid is the movement of the mouse and dragging an app onto the iPad with Duet Display? Thanks
That's from an iMac 21.5" 2.7GHz 2012
Duet is pretty much seamless. They specifically stuck to a wired connection because they weren't happy with the performance issues of using wifi. Using it on Windows isn't so great because of UI scaling. Also I wouldn't bother if you only have an iPad mini.
