This Saturday and Sunday B&Q will be selling Dulux 5 ltr paint for half price, this will make it cheaper than their 2.5 ltr tins.

Hope it's not one of these offers when they put the price up last month so they can reduce it and class it as a 'bargain' until it expires and the price goes back up higher than it was !!

Not voting until I see the price

how much????

think a 5 litre tin is around £27 making this deal £13.50. hot from me.
Edited by: "lanc_red" 26th Jun 2012

price at the moment for 5 litre tin is between £22.98 and 38.98.
price for 2.5 litre tin is £18.98 and £25.98.

will this offer be on the ones they mix up for you or just shelf stuff?

Do you know if this covers trade emulsion or just the standard product?

Need more info to decide if it's heat or cool.
Thanks for the heads up though

Good deal. I need some paint so will be there on Saturday morning.

Excellent - I dsperately need some 'orchid white' (which always seems to be OOS anyway) to do kids' rooms. Nearly popped in over the last weekend as they had some offer then but this is even better.

Can you still reserve and collect for the weekend??

Would it include Bathroom paint or is it everything across the Dulux brand?

Needs to be a price in the header.

As above, not voting until I see prices. Thanks for the heads up opp

Need to paint some internal doors.
Thanks OP - will check it out at the weekend

If this includes the stuff they mix for you will be perfect for me

Is this Offer advertised anywhere? Or was it an email offer?

yes this happened to me the weekend went in for extra paint cos we ran out i pd £22.98 gone up to £29.98 was suppose to be buy 2 get 1 free its all a big con

Anyone know wether this will be the WeatherShield exterior paint at all? Seems like this has got hot without anyone knowing any prices.

I hope its on the Endurance paint

Not the same quality in BQ stores it's made for them .

Answers to some questions above.
1. I work in B&Q and the info was in the managers office, so couldn't really get a copy.
2. Prices vary, so couldn't put a price on.
3. May just be standard emulsion

I will try and get a copy tonight but no promises, there were other deals on the flyer too.
B&Q value garden dining set was £69 will be £40
Also a BBQ and a Chimnea will be reduced

That's a unique approach to branding, isn't it?

Are you seriously saying that Dulux make an inferior paint that they still sell as Dulux but only in B&Q stores ?

Yes the coverage is not the same .its made specialy for them "

That would compromise Dulux's name/reputation. If they make paint for B&Q, it will be under B&Q's name & not Dulux's.

Check the coverage then ,go to a trade place for dulux and then to BQ.

Just get crown

The offer is only on 5L standard coloured emulsion available off the shelf and doesn't include any mixed, trade, endurance, kitchen or bathroom emulsion. The price is £29.98 which hasn't gone up recently, so half price that makes it £14.99 which is cheaper than a 2.5L which is £18.98. I work on the department and got the info today. Hope this helps!

Anyone know if this offer starts on Friday, or do we have to be patient and wait for Saturday?

Given reserve and collect a punt - need three pots to finish off the downstairs.

We shall find out whether they're any use tomorrow morning (so far they've a 50-50 record for me )

never done b&q reserve, do you pay in ye shoppe?

Yes - just give them contact details and get the order no. They are dodgy to put it mildly though - reserved a tent a while back and when I got to store they said there was none in stock, yet I went and found one within the store!

Just checked the coverage of two cans of Dulux trade gloss, one bought from BandQ and one from Jewsons, both exactly the same. think you are getting confused between trade and standard paint, of course trade is better.

Just bought some. Plenty in stock. Thanks OP.

Went in Saturday morning and all the 5lt standard emulsion paints were marked as 50% off. Plenty in stock and no one else browsing them when I was there. My can went through the checkout half price no problem. Genuine half price it seems, which is rare these days.
So a big thank you to OP for the heads up. You have saved me £15 on 5lts that I needed to buy.

Also grabbed three pots for £15 each. Excellent value - though they had plenty on the shelves the coloutr I was after was the one they didn't have, so glad I did 'reserve and collect' for once!
