Used dulux over 40 years plus .........Crown I've used and pleased with the results also have tried
Wickes acrylic undercoat and primer plus Satin exterior which were also good. So I'm in a similar
Boat to you .......all I know Dulux is not an exceptional paint any longer.

Hot! I used dulux and crown to paint freshly skimmed house earlier this year. Dulux did it in one coat crown needed 2 because it was watery. Going to nip to asda and have a look now!
yep dulux has gone down hill

I know they just don't make sisters like they used too
Agree, Dulux is not what it was, I use Wickes Vinyl Matt Paint, well reviewed, superb cover and finish

unfortunately you can still see her through this cheap, watery paint lol
You need to realise the difference between trade and retail paints. Retail Dulux is this post sold at diy outlets, but go to a builders merchant etc and they sell the trade version of Dulux which had better coverage, better pigmentation etc, it costs more but is better value in the long run
Same price in Tesco, got some the other day.

Agreed, used the whole tub on small bathroom area as coverage was awful. Took 4-5 coats to hide a prior light sand stone colour. Wouldn't use again
Just buy the trade version. It's much better and quality of finish is very good.
