Are you sure this was for the big 2.5L tin because I have seen the 750ml tin (currently £13.00) on offer for £10.00, but not the 2.5L.
Please bear in mind this is oil based gloss so will yellow in a matter of months. the EU are to blame as they banned White spirits in glosses so ALL paint manufacturers have replaced with linseed oil. Reduced smell but vastly increased drying times and yellows sadly.
The best water based one in my opinion is Johnstones TRADE AQUA.
Is goes on excellent on top the AQUA undercoat.
A decent synthetic brush and possibly a decent small 4inch roller will help. no cheap rubbish. Ask at your Johnstones decorating centre
Dulux TRADE Crown TRADE water based versions are pretty poor in comparison.

I used this and wasn't happy at all with the finish. Ended up taking my hall way back to bare wood and starting the job again. I then used Dulux trade gloss and the finish was far superior

Its was definitely the 2.5l but i think it may have been just matt and silk.

This ^ I used this on a couple of rooms and it yellowed in no time (I thought it yellowed where the sun got to it.. but it's the opposite).

I've since used Dulux Trade Satinwoods on all the other rooms ive done (Solvent based) and they've not yellowed. I wonder if the trade paints use a different recipe.
It will be different yes, the trade paint far better hence higher prices.
The Amstead Trade quick dry satin is a fantastic product far superior to it's bizzarly more expensive Dulux Trade quick dry satinwood stalemate which seems to crack on caulk and says and runs.. it's also sold at Dulux Decor centres.
Get a decent synthetic brush too NOT Dulux Decor centre synthetic multiple pack 6 for 9.99. Purdy too drawer dear, Hamilton good value even their cheap synthetic ones pretty good.
Wee decent mini roller make it easier also. If you get a pack 4inch "two fussy blokes" one u almost get a spraylike finish.
