Nice little dummy camera for just under a pound. Camera got some nice features like flashing red light, it just runs with 2 AA battries.
This is the cheapest i found so far as i look online
*amazon showing atleast £5
*maplin showing £15
*soundbase mega store online showing for £2 plus delivery charges.
rest all different retailers showing between £5 to £7..
so i think its good price to keep strangers away !!!!

i dont know why people voting cold ??? if anyone could find me cheaper than this price and then vote cold.....

They also have had these in poundland and poundworld for ages complete with flashing light. But your find is 1p cheaper

I'm sure that all / most dummy security devices have flashing LED lights and yet the majority of bona fide security gear does not.

It's like a beacon that says "dummy" camera.

I'm not voting either way as its a decent price but if I purchased a set, I would not add the batteries... Just my two penne th though.

CCTV cameras do not have flashing red lights or green, yellow blue, magenta, purple lights for that matter.
You might as well by a neon flashing sign saying Dummy Camera.
Cold even at 99p

Been selling these for ages

The flashing light will make it look like a dummy,so just don't put the batteries in.

People are voting cold because regardless of price even your most inept of thieves will be able to spot these cameras as fake from a mile off

There's a reason they're only 99p - They aren't convincing in the slightest

Here's the stupid thing - no real camera has a flashing light. So if the light flashes, people instantly know it's not real.

bloody hell these saddos are hard to please. HOT even though I havent brought one, cheap as chips dont see the problem!!! thanks op

@LeahMartinsxo

Why are we 'Saddos'?

CCTV cameras are for two reasons:

1. To record moving images
2. To act as a deterrent against crime

This 'deal' does neither

Maybe you should actually try to string together a mature, coherent discussion instead of simply calling people names

Heat from me!

Just leave the batteries out.

I used to have two up before getting some real cameras and on more than one occasion I was asked by friends about how the CCTV system works. Well worth 99p, if it gets the thieving scum to think twice.

So yes, in my opinion, these do act as a deterrent against crime.

AGREE !!
iv bought 3 external. camera since February and still not put them up because they flash

I have 2 security CCTV cameras, both have flashing green LED.

Same price for Edward dummy camera @poundland

Save the 99p and move to a better area.

I would just sellotape one of these to my front door so people will just assume I'm too poor to rob

Why would this not act as a deterrent? Do you invite burglars in to show them your DVR?

Personally I'd buy a couple of these whilst saving for a real system. Some stupid comments ITT.

Have you tried not putting the batteries in it? Might solve your problem, and the LED then looks like an IR autofocus sensor.

No thief of this Earth would be put off by CCTV!

You do realise thieves KNOW they're breaking the law, right?

Because crime happens in just one place, doesn't it?

I had one of these but it got stolen.

True they just make sure they hide the faces, had it happen. I happen to be inside at time though so if I had not had cctv I wouldn't of seen them trying to get into my property with a crow bar, and I can bet if they had got in and challenged me they would of used that crow bar on me.

Police were great though, they actually kept guard of my home most of night

Never had it happen again, since got a dog who I want mind letting him rip any robber to shreds.

Thankfully never had anything stolen, think CCTV does help though to put them off as well as having a guard dog and other security measures in place, but you will get the odd druggy loser who will take any risks at all costs, just scum of the earth, but law says you can use what force you deem necessary so that's what I would do

Don't understand point in buying dummy cameras though, the real deal don't cost that much and are easy to install yourself, most people can tell if the camera is a dummy or not.

These are for sale in Discount stores near me, which protect themselves from thieves with a large lifesize cardboard picture of a policeman...

For those commenting on looks, do you really think a criminal is going to inspect the camera and look right at it to investigate whether it is real or not?

This is a deterent and will work just fine to put people off.

If they really wanted to rob your house, yes it wouldn't make a difference.
But between a house with "CCTV" and one without next door, they are more likely to rob the easier target.

You don't need outrun the [insert dangerous and fast animal], just out run the person next to you.

Any dummy burglar could tell it was a dummy camera

Just save up your pennies and buy the real McCoy ! ... currently saving up my money for a genuine 1080p High definition CCTV set up.

ha ha ha like your way,,,,,,,,

I remember my friend having CCTV & the scum bags actually robbed the camera whilst she was sat in her home.

available at any £1 or 99p store anyway.

very cold for me

You get what you pay for with security... If you buy one of these then you might as well have a banner with NO SECURITY HERE across the front of the property.

"It's a dummy....dummy!!!!", (before getting head blown off) Willem Defoe - Wild at Heart

There is an idiot on my street with 3 of these on the side of his house. We all know there fake because you don't fit internal cameras outside haha. He feels confident they work tho so that's what counts.

Looks amazingly real? Well, yeah, a camera that doesn't look real isn't going to be much use.

As a couple of others have said - cctv does not deter burglars, even real cctv. I've watched a lot of footage of burglars with their faces covered.

If you want to be safe a dog or a burglar alarm (a real one that makes lots of noise) does work.

Cheap dummy camera though. Have some heat for the deal.

Don't look real, don't scare burglars, cheap and nasty hence 99p. I am sir the poundland ones are so much more convincing for the extra 1p ha ha.
