Elements of thus film were very good, but overall not as good as it should have been. Story ends mid stream and the emperor's troops look like nasa astronauts out for a walk... Anyway was somewhat mystified to some of the changes and that it's not coherent as a story on its own, without knowing background info...
There's a interesting expanded version of the 1984 Dune on YouTube that rather good.

LOVED this film, can’t wait for part 2!

My god only watched this the other day. Blinding film. Felt so god to watch compared to a lot of film drudge that I’ve seen lately (other then all quiet). Depth is story, cinematography, score, sheer epicness. Biggest negative is that I’m impatient and want to see part 2. (edited)

I've not yet seen this despite being a big fan of the Lynch version. It's in my library ready at least now at this bargain price

I love the Lynch version too 😁 and I love this, both good for different reasons. Would highly recommend giving it a watch.

I enjoyed this to a degree but I think my overall opinion is tainted as a book reader. I did feel it was a bit sterile in the aesthetics/stylisation. Bit janky with the way it ended but would recommend watching.
