Unfortunately, it depends on your definition of failure. By some less-reputable standards, it's probably been a huge success.
Too true. "You can have your five-star review for 800 gems"!
Tried playing these and Theme Hospital a couple of years ago, and remember the results as being unplayable!
Can't comment on 1, but I have 2 from gog and runs on windows 8 without any problems.
I guess it is successful in the sense that its making EA a shed loads of money, but a failure in every other way. Hopefully it will have a further negative affect on EAs reputation, they're hated for good reason.
Haha... I'll have to give it a go soon.
Didn't know there was one; hardly bother with games anymore as they are all so lacklustre. Are there actually any games that are decent on Android? You know, not Angry Birds clone, not Farmville clones, but proper immersive adventures. Every game I played 15 years ago is better than 99% of the games I've found on Android. I don't mind the odd time-waster, but I'd much rather a proper game, not an "app game".
If I didn't already own it this would be the greatest freebie of all time.
You mean, best game ever made next to Flappy Bir.. hey, guys? Guys? Why are you looking at me like that? Hey, no need to get violent, I only.. guys?!

Much better than the rubbish mobile version
It seems like you get a bunch of free games when you sign up for GOG, one of which is the excellent point & click adventure Beneath a Steel Sky which was one of the best games of 1995
