Wellies are normally a bit bigger in my experience, so you can wear chunky socks in winter.

Check the calf size too. Some manufacturers leave very little room around the calf making it difficult to tuck in a pair of jeans or overalls. I'd had to have been wearing jodphurs to squeeze anything into the last pair of wellies I bought! Lol.

These look fairly roomy up top to be fair
I like walking in wellies when it's wet but I always found the soles of my feet got really sore after a few miles. Then I stuck some of my old gel insoles in (from a pair of running shoes I had) and the difference is amazing. Would definitely recommend doing that. Just saying
