I got one for a last minute trip (cabin size) and its truly awful. They are the nastiest build quality I have ever seen and gave mine to a charity shop on my return. I would never trust these as checked luggage to be thrown around by baggage handlers, they are just so shoddy they would fall to bits on the first trip.

I also bought this for a last minute flight last month - it was £7.99 if I remember rightly and I to be fair I totally disagree with yoru comment. I think the quality is just fine, for £7.99 you cant go wrong, I dont think it would be easily damaged at all, mine was being dragged around by a six year old getting bumped left right and centre!

The only issue I do have with these cases are that they are quite heavy which has to be accounted for when packing and trying to keep within your weight limits.

I'm going to vote hot just for the heads up, but its not really a deal, they are always this price.

i have been using one of these for almost 2 yrs now at least 3 times a week and i can assure anyone that they can stand anything!!!

Thanks to the OP for this, I've just picked up one of the 51cm / 20" cases, thought I'd post some extra info.

Firstly, the quality doesn't seem all that bad to me, it's fairly basic, but as somebody who will probably use it half a dozen times a year, I reckon it will be fine.

Second, the dimensions seem particularly useful to use as airline hand luggage. When 'compressed' the case should fit the Bmibaby/Ryanair size of 55x40x20, but you can expand it to take advantage of the bigger 55x45x25 size used by most other airlines. I've measured the case myself, as follows:

Length: 57cm (including wheels). Hopefully you'd get away with this, as the extra 2cm is just the handle on the top of the case. If the worst came to the worst you could probably remove the handle, which would reduce the length to 54cm (still including the wheels).
Width: 40cm max (including the handle)
Depth: Normally 19/20cm, expands to 25/26cm.
Weight: 2.85 Kg on my scales.
Capacity: The label states the case is 51x19x34.5 which calculates to the 33.4 Litres stated on the label. Using the expanded depth of 26cm would give 45 Litres.

Here's a few ]photos to give you a better idea what the case looks like.

Hmm... maybe I've got a bit carried away with all this detail... it's just a suitcase!

PLEASE HELP!

Dunlop 20 ich - 51-19-34.5 - is it ok use it how cabbin luggage to Ryanair???

THANKS!

Got one of these cases 2 years ago go on holiday twice a year cases is still going strong no complaints at all
